Oh my fuck. I'm going to buy so many of these, I can't even.

So swap to CC3 for winter, and CC3 Sport for summer then??

The only fail here was that they didn't release a CC3-R compound for track, and a CC3 A/T for off road.

trollface 05-19-2025 06:35 PM

Somehow they made it more ugly.

Badhobz 05-19-2025 06:51 PM

Cross climate 3
Sport ?!?!
SPORT ?!?!?!? Psssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhh I just came

AstulzerRZD 05-19-2025 06:53 PM

This exists because Vredestein was starting to eat into OEM fitment.

Quatrac Pro won the Mini Cooper 3PMSF fitment and I’m sure Michelin is getting concerned.

Super curious what sizes they launch the sport in.

Whoa. I called it. On 5/5, exactly 2 weeks ago! Good thing you didn't buy those CC2, right? ...Right?

Looks like information on the regular CC3 is officially announced and/or trickling out:

Key features include:

Thermal Adaptive Tread Compound – an innovative compound that adapts to changing road conditions, delivering performance in dry, wet, or snowy environments.

Refined V-shaped tread design – enhances water drainage from centre to shoulder, even when worn, boosting wet and snow grip.

Improved braking performance – delivers a 4% improvement in wet braking compared to the CrossClimate 2 (1).

Reduced rolling resistance – optimised for fuel savings and extended EV range through low energy dissipation.

Extended tread life – delivers up to 15% more mileage than the CrossClimate 2 thanks to Michelin’s MaxTouch Construction, which distributes forces evenly for greater longevity (3).

Michelin is expected to offer the CC3 in a wide range of fitments, including sizes for:

16” rim
17” rim
18” rim
19” rim
20” rim
21" rim
22" rim

DO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS!?!??! DO YOU EVEN KNOW!?!??!?!?!?! CC3's on THE RATROLLA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PogChamp (althouhg i dont think they'll ever make it as wide as 285)

A high level review of the CC3 and CC3 Sport from Tyre Review but the basics are:

- CC3 is marginally better in the dry and snow than before and a decent chunk better in the wet.
- CC3 Sport is better in the dry than the CC3, a lot better in the wet, and slightly behind in the snow (but not by much).
- CC3 Sport is not as sporty as the Pilot Sport All Season 4 (the DWS06 competitor).
- CC3 Sport has less tread depth than the CC2 and treadlife is comparable to running a pair of Pilot Sport 5 in summer and Pilot Alpin in the winter. I'd guess that means 60-80,000km.
- CC3 drops the SUV version.

That CC3 Sport sounds amazing - perfect tire for my needs and I'm due to switch in 2026 or 2027.

I think you need them now... To get ahead of the 2025 snow season...

The center groove is new as is the angle of the chevron to the outside.

Early comparison test of the CrossClimate3 and CC3 Sport against Euro All-Season (our all weathers). Notable is that the Sport's wear is comparable to a Pilot Sport 5/Pilot Alpin 5 and both those tires only have 50k warranties. I only drive about 8000km/yr so 50k isn't really a problem but that's on the low end of a "commodity" tire IMO, would have liked to see closer to 60-70k.

trollface 07-01-2025 08:26 AM

I hear Ling Longs last 140k.

RabidRat 07-01-2025 09:36 AM

It's July 1, where is the CC3!!!

Costco website still shows CC2, and even labels that "New" lol.

bcrdukes 07-01-2025 10:15 AM

Costo is a lie and a waste of time! I wanted to order a set of Bridgestone RE-71RS to take advantage of the sale but it is "out of stock." :seriously:

Somewhat related: I saw an Indian guy driving a Hyundai Sonata on winters yesterday in the 28 degree weather. :fuckyea:

westopher 07-01-2025 11:06 AM

I need some PS4s from Costco. They better goddamn deliver.

RabidRat 07-01-2025 03:04 PM

I blame RS for making me so thirsty for CC3s :fappery:.

I will accept no substitute.

Blame hobz for OOS. Tell him to get off his fat ass, take his whip out and get his people to work.

Do winters suddenly stop working after 27 degrees?

bcrdukes 07-01-2025 04:24 PM

Yeah, they explode after 26 degrees and send you to the depths of hell.

They get chewed up. Part of what makes winters work is the compound. They stay soft and low temps. Now imagine how soft they get on 40degree pavement.
