Check your location settings in the settings tab; check if you have it to high accuracy mode or phone only. Restart the location tab if still doesn't work.

I have checked everything. I make sure its on GPS, Wi-Fi, and mobile networks under "locating method". Have turned it on and off numerous times. Still doesn't register the GPS :(

so the concept of this game is to capture pokemon and battle gym leaders? Things only get exciting right after level 5?

I just play to level up and collect pokemon. I haven't bothered battling at the gyms.

One of my 5km eggs hatched into a Vulpix :D

The more I play this game, the more I feel I'm not their target market.

Simply because I won't or don't have the time to:
1) Chase down pokemons
2) Sit 30 mins at a time at lure sites
3) Camp at a gym

If this game doesn't introduce obvious features like PvP outside a gym, it's going to the junk bin soon.

Maybe you have mock location turn on? You need to go into Dev settings to turn it off.

There was a lure set up at Rocky's Meats in Burnaby last night that spawned about 4 eevee in the 15 minutes I was there before the lure ran out. You'll know you're at the right spot because the Pokestop is an image of a giant cock (rooster) :lol

Anyone else's Nearby tracker broken? The entire day all of the pokemon are listed as 3 footprint away, yet I keep bumping into wild pokemon.

Then I saw Ekans, Mankey, Diglet (all 3 I don't have) on my Nearby screen, and all of them had 3 footprint. I still managed to bump into Mankey and Diglet. After catching them, they disappeared from my tracker, which further proved my Nearby tracker is broken...

I saw Aerodactyl and Gengar on the tracker, but since my tracker only shows 3 footprint for everything, I have ZERO CLUE if I'm getting closer or not :<

Restarted app many times throughout the day, but the problem is still there...

any word on when its coming out for iOS yet?

Just caught a Marowak while watching Starwars Force Awakens on Netflix haha.

Had ??? CP during the encounter, and ended up around 390 (my current highest now). Took 1 berry and 1 ball to catch ;D!

Totally forgot Cubone and Marowak even exist o__o

Still have the buggy Nearby tracker though, as he appeared as 3 footprints :[
