I believe level 15 was when I started seeing higher CP show up. Just keep leveling your character! |
took over my first gym today at Burnaby lake lol: http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y13...h.png~original i fought a couple gyms today, took over another one as well but some chick took it back like the second i walked away lol.. imo if you have pokemon within a 250-300 cp range, try and take a shot at the gym, depending on how effective your attacks are you can pretty easilly beat higher CP opponents also hatched 3 5km eggs, and 1 10km egg, the only good 5km egg hatch was a 300cp Vulpix, the 10km egg hatched: http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y13...z.png~original two things with this.. i was super close to levelling up right before my egg hatched.. so in hindsight i probably should have evolved a couple pidgies, got to 13, and then hatched the egg, perhaps giving it a higher CP 2nd thing.. it's kinda shitty that the scyther is at this level because now what do i do? i have pokemon with higher CP, but do i evolve the scyther because it's a rarer pokemon/type? |
^Not evolve -- but powerup. Power it up once, to see what the gains in CP are. As far as I can tell each powerup is linear, so if you gained say 50 CP in one powerup, 10 powerups will give you 500cp (also some +hp as well). This is why the eggs give you lots of candy as well. If you caught a scyther in the wild it would be much harder to powerup since you only have 3 candy instead of 26. Egg pokemon are mostly always better than wild ones, considering future potential. ...but not always. I'm still pretty pissed about my 120CP Jynx from the 10km egg. |
Yesterday around 7-9 was amazing at QE. Found a Dragonite and Blastoise. LOL My friend next to me caught 1357 cp natural dragonite. There was soo many people there. I should start selling water and snacks:alonehappy: |
FFS... was just upgrading the scyther and game was lagging and kept giving me errors.. finally all the upgrades i clicked bunched together and he jumped up 280CP but now i've got no more stardust left.. have an 800CP scyther now though, eh :/ |
all my 2km had been caterpie, weedle, pidgey, zubat and finally today charmander |

Pokémon Go down? Current problems and outages. | Canadian Outages Seems like there has been a lot of outages since ~12pm And this site seems to be better for instantaneous server status: Is Pokémon GO down or not? Right now, it is sitting at [Critical] :lawl: |
I went out for lunch today to hit a number a pokespots and down, man was I pissed off LMAO it's still down for me I think |

Spoiler! The quick and dirty version is you want the pokemon with the highest potential. High CP, low upgrade costs. So if you have 2 with the exact same CP, but one costs 1900 to power up while the other costs 2200 to power up, you want the 1900 one because you can get that one to a higher max CP. Spoiler! In addition for IV and CP, the movesets are extremely important a nidoking/queen is only good if it has poison jab as the main attack, otherwise its attack is very weak. |

It went back up, but it's slow as hell and super glitchy. |
hopefully its better when I drive home today |

Why am I not surprised that this dating service exists now? LUL The world has its first Pokémon Go dating service | The Verge We all saw this coming but were powerless to stop it: the world's first Pokémon Go dating service has launched and its name is PokéDates. It works as you'd expect. You sign up on PokéDates' website, answer a few questions about what you're looking for in a partner, and then fill in a schedule of when you're free to go roaming for pokémon. PokéDates then pairs up applicants, and sends both parties a time and location (near a pokéstop or gym) to meet up and start playing Pokémon Go. Then, presumably, comes love, marriage, a Weedle in a carriage, etc. This isn't a completely new venture, but rather a service built on an existing dating site named Project Fixup. The key selling point of Fixup (which launched in 2012) is that its human employees match applicants by hand, rather than relying on computer algorithms. The same process will happen for PokéDates, says the company, with Fixup assuring users that its specialists will pair people with similar interests — regardless of whether they're Team Instinct, Valor, or Mystic. |
Curious what versions of the game everyone is running? 29, 29.2, 29.3? |
2 Attachment(s) Random screenshots from today (sorry I shrunk them a lot for better viewing here). First one was 2 Electabuzz on my walk to work this morning, but due to the nearby bug, I didn't find either one of them >:[ Second screenshot was a few mins ago, went out to buy groceries and my walk to metro mall was... eventful :P |
Any news about when they're going to fix that nearby bug issue? Ever single pokemon is 3 paws and I don't usually bother with that tracker anymore cause it's messed up half the time. Quote:

Metrotown is absolutely retarded with the lures My buddy lives in a tower above the old Best Buy there and he's got pictures at 12:30:130am and there's 100+ cars in the fucking parking lot, everyone crowded around that little park with the triple lol |
