What level were you?

Im not sure when i should evolve my growlithe to arcanine. Im level 16 right now... i want one thats atleast 1300-1600 cp

so should I wait to evolve stuff until I'm a decent level? I've been mainly evolving rats, needles snd pidgins so far (I'm level 7) lol

I would wait till you reach level 20 before evolving, I've wasted so much candies evolving too early.

Some people said it's already predetermined what you'll get when you first get the egg. Others have said that the CP is dependent on what level you are when they hatch.

too lazy to head out dl'ed Nox and just put myself at the art gallery, lots of magikarp so far- good if youre saving for the gyarados

apparently some home owners are blasting a high pitched noise only kids can hear to annoy them so they don't play by there houses. I heard about this noise on dragons den awhile back

Caught a 1075cp rapidash today. Only have 2 great balls left and about 40 normal balls. He bust out of the great ball. I used ALL my normal balls on him he keep busting out. I had to escape wait for pokestop to sing to get a few normal balls than after I think like 50 normals in total I finally got him. So surprise he didn't ran away the whole time. Kind of made my day lol

just hatched a Ponyta from my first 5k egg, I'm kinda happy about thatlol

I find it so dumb that at higher levels (I'm not even that high) low level pokemon can bust out of pokeballs.

It took me 5 balls to catch a CP10 weedle. I spent 10 on a 50something Pidgey before running away. I needed them for more evolves during lucky egg time but it was so annoying that I was wasting that many balls on weak pokemon.

After playing around with this game, I come to realize that it's a never ending cycle.
You need to constantly evolve things to gain the XP to level up.
Leveling up is how you catch/hatch/evolve things with higher CP.

Not sure if you are doing it, but transfer all the lower CP stuff and get the candies.
Make sure you have a bunch of stuff you are ready to evolve and use the lucky egg before you evolve them.
The lucky egg gives you double XP for 30 minutes.
Then start evolving all the stuff that you have.
Personally, I don't power up anything.

If you play long enough, you will constantly get things that are higher CP so powering up, imo, is a waste of the candy.

If you have the balls (not talking about the "give your balls a tug" kind) catch all the lower CP stuff and transfer them. This game is about "farming" and constantly evolving them.

How do I find lucky eggs? I haven't seen any yet.

check your bag.
I think you start off with 3 of them.

Also, periodically, go into your bag and delete the stuff that you don't use like potions.
The only reason I go into a gym to fight is to take it over and claim the goodies.
You can only get the gold and stardust once every 21 hrs so there is little point to fighting every gym except to get XP's.

Make sure you check and use your egg incubators. My strategy is to use the unlimited one on smaller K eggs and the limited ones on the 10 k eggs.

I received my first lure and Razz Berry at level 8 but no lucky egg

Two cult-favorites may be colliding in the near future, as Pokémon Go developer Niantic has said that it wants to build a Game of Thrones version of the ever-popular mobile game.


One of Niantic’s marketing bosses revealed to Gamespot that his “personal fantasy” is to see “Westeros mapped out on Earth and [players] to join House Stark, or whatever.”

In addition, Niantic’s Archit Bhargava mentioned that “there could be a board game you could make in the real world where people are capturing locations like Risk or something. We are really trying to create the genre of real-world gaming.”


Yeah, if you thought people were going nuts with Pokémon Go now, imagine what things would be like if a Game of Thrones version does indeed happen.
