There's a Pokestop or a Gym that's located inside one of my work's Ontario offices. Since it's a secure, keycarded building, security has had to stop people all week from trying to get access by following employees in.

Ran into something odd today -- not sure if it is a program bug, or if it is something else.

My character is very low level at the moment -- only level 4 right now, and level 3 when it happened earlier in the day. But I came across a Pokemon in the wild of some sort -- don't remember the name, and I tried to catch it.

My Pokemon ball landed, hit, and caught the thing, but the game kind of hiccuped for a split second, and the monster is back out in the screen where I have to try and capture him again. This repeated for a couple of times, with my Pokemon ball landing, hitting, and capturing him at least 4 times. But each time, he just came back. For the whole time, my ball count kept dropping since I was throwing balls at him. Eventually, I gave up and quit.

Did anything like this happen to someone else? Was it became my character level was too low?

That's the whole premise of catching them - it's a battle of sort.

It happened because the pokemon was too strong for you, or you were timing your throws poorly, or a combination. You want to try and hit the pokemon in the middle, with the circle as small as possible.

What you experienced was, my friend, the game :P

apparently the ball and semi circle thing is its potential when you evolve it.

and when you power up your pokemon that potential goes up, so when you do go to evolve it, it ends up with higher CP

Isnt there a cap when you evolve it?

say your level 15 the max you can get is 1300cp (not exact cp) where as if you evolve that high potential pokemon at lv 20 it goes 1600cp?

Caught squirtle at metro and a host of other slightly more rare pokemons at QE...well I spoofed my location from home. So far no bans lol.

Is squirtle rare? I caught one yesterday on the way to work next to Guildford station pub in Surrey and this morning on the way to work I caught a Meowth in the same spot.

dont think so, i pretty easilly caught all 3 starting pokemon in pretty much random spots

2 nights ago was sitting around a triple lure with about 40 people, including a RCMP officer who plays (he's lvl 25) and all the lures ran out. Then they all went back up. He turned his lights on and came on the loudspeaker and cheered then said "I'm going to have to ask everyone to clear the area" haha. Was good times.

Last night same scenario with about 15 people. I noticed this old guy (65+ years old) walking around the area. After the lures died everyone started leaving. I went to a close by gym to go battle. Beat the gym but it got sniped before I could claim it. Look over and the old cunt is sitting on the bench smiling at me! Fucker!

Has anyone been to Stanley Park past 2 nights ? I tried going yesterday but road to trispot was blocked off by city worker. Are we no longer allowed to drive our cars in there and is it still busy there
