Not for the one I got. You're thinking of the cheaper set that goes for $650. I know this as I've been considering buying this set for like 3 years. 65% off is the most they ever go.

don't know which one you are getting, but I got the zwilling one regular 1000+ for $200+tax 2-3 years ago. Stacked it with a new bay c/c extra xx% off.

Whats so special about a $1000 cookware set? I've been contemplating buying a new set, but there's so many options. I'm no amazing chef, but I do like to learn, and I do feel sometimes its best to own something of quality.

Zwilling makes one thing well and that is knives. If you're serious about upgrading your cookware, do it piece by piece.

When the sauce pans need to be upgraded, we'll probably buy them pan by pan from All-Clad.

Check out the Tramontina tri-ply stainless cookware set from Walmart (not sure if available in Canada now, it was US only when I bought mine 5 years ago). It's rated highly in consumer kitchen reviews (close to All-clad) but far cheaper.

The reviews are kind of mixed but from everything I've read I'm confident in the quality. It's seemingly a Bose type setup where they're trying to recreate surround with the multiple speakers

This model also has two separate tweeters which is almost unheard of in that 499 price range from what I'm reading
