Black Friday 2015 Any news on sales happening locally, on-line, south of border, etc. For starters, Ikea is giving away $50.00 off vouchers to first 200 people on purchases over $200.00, plus free breakfast for first 500 people on the Friday. I'm not a fan of Ikea, but free breakfast, lol. |
My work xmas party is always on black Friday and I always miss it because they fly me to Calgary for the weekend dammit :( |
No Black (not being racist) Friday in Calgary? Yeah nothing like bargains out here, I guess. Land of frugal Asians, LOL. |

Don't care. Nothing to buy. I feel these sales is just to get us to but stuff that we don't really need. If they play flights on sales then I might look into it but otherwise. |
i'm tempted to buy a ps4 this weekend buuuuut...i've been hoarding my costco cashback rewards i could wait til Feb and pick up the costco bundle which has an extra controller/headset and plus (?) dunno if that still exists the best buy site is fucking garbage...its gonna fucking crash the whole day, i guarantee it. |
Bestbuy seems to be the main flyer I'm looking at right now. Canadian Tire, Visions, Ikea, etc. all kind of meh. |
every time this day rolls around i think of this scene :troll: :lawl: Spoiler! |

I was at The Bay last Friday and cookware was on sale, i think 30-50% off cookware sets. |
I want to pick up Walmart's $369.99 PS4 Uncharted bundle + Last of Us Remastered. Do you think I should show up promptly at 6am when the store opens? Or even earlier? I've never shopped on a Black Friday before. Thanks for the input. |

Days like these are becoming less and less relevant. BestBuy releasing their online sales on Monday?.. These days/Boxing Day are the equivalent to outlet stores. A bunch of models and brands you'd probably never buy otherwise, but they are cheap so they become tempting. Best brands, models, etc never go "on sale" in my experience. And that goes for almost anything, TV's, golf clubs, clothing, etc |
Yeah. Bring back A&B Sound and Stereo Pacific Boxing Day sales!!!! |
Boxing Day has always been about year-end clearouts, old inventory, and special product runs to lure people in. I miss A&B Sound as much as the next guy, but that was in a different era. Retail is much more efficient these days - stores have better control over inventory and know what quantities will sell. People who are expecting retailers to sell current products at a loss just because it's Black Friday are naïve. If a Black Friday sale price is better than a price will be before Christmas, even if it's not the price I would ideally want to pay, and I need the item as a gift, why not buy it? |

Anyone see any good deals for a WiiU in Canada? Best I've seen is the Splatoon + Smash down south for $250 |

Im in the market for one as well! |

No Tax days Friday and Saturday at Superstore. Time to stock up on daily use stuff that never goes on sale. Plus, World Elite points. In fact, PC World Elite Mastercard holders can buy gift cards to places like Best Buy, Toys R Us, etc. and receive 3X the points. If you're going to get shit at those places anyway, might as well. |
