Model Y rwd price drop, same as Model 3 rwd. https://www.tesla.com/en_ca/modely/design#overview |

Edit: looks like a promo price until Mar 1 https://www.reddit.com/r/TeslaModelY..._canada_until/ |

That's okay! Who needs a sound system when you've got a wonderful engine to listen t... oh fuck. |

Model Y: 7 speakers, 1 amp, and immersive sound >> Premium audio – 13 speakers, 1 subwoofer, 2 amps, and immersive sound. Honestly sounds pretty fixable .... a JL sub with a perfect fit enclosure's only 1k and JL's pricing tends to be on the higher side. https://www.jlaudio.com/products/sb-...-tesla-model-y https://nvx.com/products/2020-2021-t...passenger-side Orella's also working on an upgrade kit for 24+ base sound system. The non paper cones are promising. https://orellaacoustics.com/product/tesla-model-y/ |
But 6.5% interest doe |

So it doesn't have the premium sound system like I mentioned. But it does have reasonable boom compared to my 2019 Model 3. In my opinion I don't think it requires any more additional audio mods to bring it up to sound similar to the premium sound system. Not sure if the door woofers are different in other years of the Model 3. Then I test drove the highland Model 3, and my over all opinion it's definitely a lot better compared to the previous model. But of course it being stalkless, it took a bit to get used to. |

Yes stalkless is insane for a daily. This ain’t a Ferrari, no reason to put indicators and wipers all on the steering wheel. |

The interior definitely feels more of an upgrade. Seats now have ventilation. The suspension feels more compliant, less boomy when going over the bumps. Interior noise, it's definitely more insulated, 50% more quiet than my 2019 Model 3 based on my feeling. And yes the most controversial feature of stalkless signals and transmission selector, at first I thought it would be difficult to get used to, but after a short drive it's not bad. Not what I prefer. Almost pulled a Richmond exiting the lot because I tried to go for the right signal forgetting that the stalk wasn't there :lawl: EDIT: Tried out quick parking maneuvers with the touch screen shifter, but it was not as intuitive as I thought. Again I think it just comes with time. |
I heard that Toyota dealers are sitting on a lot of BZ4x inventory. A quick search shows that OpenRoad has 31 listed on their site: https://openroadtoyotarichmond.com/i...ond&model=bz4x Makes me wonder if the high interest rates scared away the scalpers... With the Model Y being under $55k, they're going have to discount the shit out of these just to move em :awwyeah: Disclaimer: I love Toyota, I convinced my folks to get a Prius Prime because it was the right car for them. I hate seeing them put out a subpar product like this. I'm also not a fan of Tesla, but they do seem to have the best mainstream drivetrain tech in the industry ATM. |
^^^ yea cuz it's so half assed, look at reviews, basically using Nissan leaf tech on a 2024 car. It's obvious a super rushed product and probably an orphan, reviews say it's just to keep the share holders happy that there's an EV. When they don't want to do electric |

are solterra's not selling as well? i was interested in it, but opted to just buy out my forester the recall of wheels falling off kind of turned me off on it :lol plus that if you look at inventory it's same or cheaper to get a Y |
Solterra = bZ4x = good EV only if you are a Toyota loyalist We've talked about this a few pages ago on why it isn't a good buy. |
Buying a BZ4X or Solterra can be a reasonable choice if you score a $150/month lease in the State with the really big incentives (same with the Ariya). But from cold weather charging, slow fast charging, ineffective heat pump, lack of frunk, etc etc... when you compare it to a Tesla, it's like buying a Windows Phone when iPhones are in the market |
I fucking love my Windows Phone! :fuckyea: |
