Saw a bunch of CX-70s sitting by the port near Riverport - they look better than the 90 for me. Just quickly comparing the 2 models on the Mazda website, it looks like the CX90 PHEV comes in a GS trim, whereas the CX70 starts at the mid-tier GS-L trim. The price delta is $1,200 which makes it a no brainer to go for the 90 assuming trim options are the same. |

Inflation goes down to 2.9% gas stations, hold my barrel. $1.91, that $70 weekend is now $82 dollar weekend :fulloffuck: worse than communist countries |
oil companies be like |
I'm in Kelowna right now. Took my GR Corolla. Took me about 4 hours and 30 min with a stop to get gas and snacks in Hope. Sister and fam were suppose to come today. They where going to take the Model Y LR over the Range Rover. Tesla's website claims it would be a 5 hour drive with a 10 minute charge in Hope. Does not seem bad to me. They are debating coming right now because the expected snow on the Coquihalla. It's going to be a interesting drive back tomorrow. https://www.tesla.com/trips |
But you AWD, go test that shit out |
Looks like Rivian is headed towards bankruptcy. I’d give them another year and a half. |
^ yah, Rivian will be one of those collectors ... like DeLorean .... maybe. How many billions did Rivian blow/waste doing this ??!! Few thousand people can say, 'I gOt oNe of THosE cOol rIVian > $100k eLecTRic PIckuP trUcks!" I mean who is going to service them or parts for them? This might be why you stick with Tesla Cybertruck regardless of how ugly it is ... :lol. |
I thought Rivian had Amazon money? |
Rivian is manufacturing delivery vans for Amazon, but I haven't seen anything material come out of it. It would be a bummer for Rivian to go out of business. |
Uh oh! |
The problem with Rivian and many other EV companies is that there's no clear path to profitability. Rivian is betting on R2, but the problem is, how will it afford to go into R2 when they've got 6Q worth of cash to burn? Yes, Tesla had pulled it off going into Model 3 with super tight financials. And this is why Elon Musk said in order for RIVN to survive, they need to start cutting costs massively and have C-suites to sleep at their factory. That's more or less what Elon Musk did during the ramp of Model 3. Because they need to be able to make changes in a snap and not wait for everything to be delivered over the hierarchy of the company. The more car they make without being optimized, it's another car they'd lose money on. With Rivian's van no longer an AMZN exclusive and Ford severing ties with RIVN, the way I see it is both would no longer invest more funding into RIVN. That's why they took the exclusivity off and asked RIVN either to show that they can turn a profit or they won't be part of it anymore. |

I figure that at a low enough price (and we're pretty close to it), Amazon just buys the rest of Rivian so that Rivian dedicates itself to producing EV delivery vans for Amazon. It's a win for Amazon in that they want to reduce their carbon emissions drastically and this would be a cheap acquisition for them (Figure $10-15b). I figure Lucid eventually gets bought by GM or maybe Ford to become their luxury brand - either merged into Cadillac or replacing Lincoln. Other than Tesla I don't see how any of these EV-only companies survive as independents 10 years from now. |

Have some friends with places near 100 mile and whenever they drive it’s like constant fucking stops like oh yea just gonna have a vape here, check out the river, oh yea gotta stop here they got good beef jerky etc. a 5 hour trip turns into a 7 hour trip ffs.. that’s why I forcibly drive now and do not stop period lol. Even in scenic drives we do all the time like no. 3 to Penticton etc. I just want to get there ASAP |
I went to Smithers with a buddy, we swapped seats every hour (literally 10 seconds). It did make the trip so much nicer then the swap seats at gas stops we did the opposite way. |

141 miles on battery with a V6 to recharge the batteries. 100% electric drive train. |
When was the last time Chrysler built reliable vehicles? Send that junk straight to the scrap yard. |
i kinda always wanted to relive my childhood and buy a caravan a la GS8. Sorry sorry, i know thats a town and country.. not a lowly caravan. Arent those pretty reliable? that pentastar v6 has been around for a gazillion years. That pacificia is like the best looking mini van (tied with the new sienna) and it even has a PHEV |
300c? Since it's an e class? I mean Bentley:troll: |

Looks like Apple is pulling the plug on their electric car(No pun intended). https://www.cnbc.com/2024/02/27/appl...ed-report.html |
Haven't they been flip flop that for a long time. But yea as shown by Rivian, frisker, canoo, lordstown, Ford, gm everybody, it's hard as fuck to build a car, let alone an EV. I applaud Tesla and all the China evs that actually do it, vinfast. Even all the legacy manufacturers are all walking back on evs right now cuz it's too hard and they are losing shit tons of money and can't compete. |
