Make plaid great again

yray 05-14-2025 08:07 AM

bruh, just get a CPO EQS SUV

its just a van

JDMDreams 05-14-2025 08:07 AM

Why not a fast wagon, e63, taycan, Panamera, why can't you be the cool one rather than the mainstream wanna be beetle owner by buying the cheapest one:joy::troll: this is like buying a chr of the Toyota world

Badhobz 05-14-2025 08:29 AM

it has to be an SUV. the midget keeps crashing into shit and the "height" is important. Yet it cant be too high because her midget ass cant get into it. What a strange and retarded problem to have!

I was gonna buy her a G wagon and call it a day (same level of trolling like murano crosscab). She needs to step up 3 steps to get into that damn thing everyday all the while i can laugh and point at how idiotic it is for a 5 foot midget to climb into a HUGE ass truck.

But she found my mercedes contact and called them, telling them to NOT sell me a G wagon. BITCH!

Badhobz 05-14-2025 08:34 AM

i dont know... i might just go buy a Nissan Kicks ala red Kypronite and be like HERES YOUR NEW CAR. ENJOY.

Probably end up in divorce court the next week and she takes all my shit.

JDMDreams 05-14-2025 08:41 AM

Isn't the sport tourismo the lifted one? And it's on air suspension. They thought of all the combinations to take your money.

Just get a Maybach gls so you can bounce your way in front of Holt Renfrew and down #3 road.

Toyota just announced a 338HP C-HR EV - what world are we living in? :lol

PLANO, Texas (May 14, 2025) – Today Toyota announces the all-new 2026 Toyota C-HR Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), an all-new model set to be a bold entry in its electrified lineup. With an impressive 338 horsepower combined system output, and standard All-Wheel Drive, it has a performance-inspired spirit with a manufacturer estimated 0-60 mph time of around 5 seconds. The C-HR couples its dynamic performance with a coupe-like design, a well-appointed interior, and up-to 25.4-cubic feet of rear cargo space behind the rear seats for compact crossover utility.

It's a sign, man. Time for an EV. Embrace your Chinese heritage. Spend a lot to save a little.

Seriously though, there are some upsides:
  • Your wife won't have to spend any more time at sketchy gas stations: just plug it in at home at the end of the day: just like her phone. Actually depending on avg trip length, it's even less often. My wife only plugs in once a week.
  • No worries about warming up the car in the morning. Or feeling bad that to move it 5 feet for whatever reason, you turned on the engine only to shut it off 10 seconds later.
  • No more breathing fumes in the morning before the cat's warmed up.
  • A lot less time wasted going to the dealership: service intervals are basically never.
  • Incomparably low cabin noise level: though an enthusiast would miss the motor / exhaust noise, for anyone else it's just harder to have a conversation. Her folks would probably have a better time.
  • Usually more cabin roominess & cargo volume given the length of the vehicle, because of the packaging efficiency.

The X5 doesn't move unless it's unplugged. Otherwise I would see lots of plugins dragging a charge box around :fullofwin:

Why not a gently used Panamera Turismo ? Should be nice and low for wifey.

Used? The divorce would have happened yesterday if Hobz brings that up.

We have air on the X5, and even at the lowest it's quite tall. I don't think that size is going to work for her.

Hobz, drag spy balloon to look at the Crown or Crown wagon or whatever that shit called. Though I have a feeling she'll threaten to poison your fried chicken if you suggest another Toyota. "What are we? Slaves?"

You guys would entertain a Volvo? Polestar 2?

Join me in my search for a MINI!!!! Get her a countryman lol they’re pretty cool.

Against better judgement I just made an offer on a LCI2 JCW… so we’ll see and the baseball cap is not off the table so we’ll see how that plays out near the end of the month cuz he needs it gone by then.

Or I’ll just replace the kicks with a countryman to scratch that itch:badpokerface:

Come on guys, sneezing distance compared to Kia EV9, still thousands cheaper than ID Buzz

Also the Ioniq 9 is doing the Kona EV thing, where the luxury/ultimate calligraphy are "packages" and not "trims" /// hence even the Ultimate Calligraphy is still considered MSRP under $74,999, so only 12% tax, no luxury tax.

Any other 3 row SUV 800V EV on the market that is SUB 100K?

Yes, $90K plus after tax is a lot... but remember a base civic is $34.5K after tax....(base 2025 Civic sedan LX with 0 options is $30,801 + 12% tax = $34,497 out the door if the Honda dealer decides to charge $0 dealer fees)

AstulzerRZD 05-15-2025 12:16 PM

Let's do some math:

1) Honda Pilot base model, 61k after tax and fees.
Expect 16L/100km or 26c/km

2) Highlander XLE AWD : 57k pretax, 64k CAD after GST/PST.
Expect 10L/100km or 17c/km

3) EV9 AWD: 67k pre-tax, 78k CAD after tax.
Expect 22kwh/100km or 3.3c/km.

So...

Compared to Pilot, save $4.5k each year at 20k km.
Payoff in under 18 months.

Compared to Highlander, save $2.7k each year at 20k km.
Payoff in just over 5 years.

You can crunch all that math, but it doesn't change the fact that it still looks like a hearse.

The EV9 is a much better looking between the two imo.

Badhobz 05-15-2025 12:48 PM

Radeon Man with the SMACK DOWN!!!!!!! :fuckyea:

AstulzerRZD 05-15-2025 01:20 PM

oh 100% I almost puked when I saw it in person at the auto show lmaooo

u can see how I wrote EV9 on that list and not the Ioniq 9 because I don't think anyone will buy it
