I'm looking at you, BMW and Lexus. |
Yea but also the thing with the Koreans is they have no flow, they just make random designs that's 100% different from the last one to see if shit sticks, therefore there's no continuation or brand image. It's like they didn't design it to last but just to push a car out. |
Yeah the EV9 and Ioniq 5 are easily their best stuff. I wish they would've recognized that and replicated it across the rest of their lineups. Same with BMW. Their designs are starting to go off a cliff, and the previewed Neue Klasse stuff looks to dig the hole even deeper :( |

Uh oh ... competition with the ID Buzz. Kia PV5 $60K MSRP, not as charming as the VW but still ... https://cdn.motor1.com/images/mgl/1Z...-day-2025.webp |

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is now the Nurburgring’s fastest electric production car. The cars price starts at 73k USD in China. That's 1527 HP for less than 100k CAD. On the track it hits a top speed of 214 MPH. I could see a market for this in North America even with 100% tariffs. The previous record holder the Rimac Nevera that costs over 2 mill. https://www.topgear.com/car-news/ele...production-car |
ultra means you get actual brakes ;) |

Too bad it doesn't seem to be coming to NA though. |

https://insideevs.com/news/703900/ki...orm-pv5-video/ The PV5 is based on a modular system so they can configure it in multiple ways. https://mma.prnewswire.com/media/231....jpg?p=publish |

Also, that PV5 concept truck looks sick. Any PV5 variant with a EV6 GT powertrain would be pretty cool too :lol |
The interior of this PV5 looks pretty spartan. I wish it would have pivoting seats / a table / and just more alphard royal lounge stuff. Instead it looks like a dodge caravan inside. |
^ Kia bro ... it's a Kia, not even Genesis ... just Kia. |
|
Oh, did Hyundai buy the rights to the Previa then? |
Are the Rivian/Amazon delivery vans starting to make it into Canada? EV local delivery vehicles seem like a no brainer market to tackle for more companies - they don't need more than 200 miles of range and EV packaging is ideal for them. |
I will go take some photos, my FIL just picked up a Chevrolet BrightDrop. The stupid thing is 100K CAD lolol, but the amount of space is actually impressive.... + it has red seat belts like a Porsche hahahaha |

Brightdrpp and Rivian Van sales are tiny - no service support, unknown parts waits, etc. |
What the shit, it just looks like a model y. :fulloffuck: https://media.drivingelectric.com/im...atermarked.jpg |
Polestar 3 is $25k off right now. It's basically a coupified 5-seater Volvo EX90. Seems like a good deal for what you're getting - standard brembos, torque vectoring rear diff, dual chamber active air suspension, etc. But rampant software / electronics issues seem to continue and it's been out a while. |
I'm surprised the software / electronics issues are rampant bcos the Polestar 2 didn't seem to have too many problems in those areas. At least, from the PS2 owners groups that I subscribe to, most PS2 owners seem really happy with their cars, and there aren't too many reports of problems of this nature. |
