Don't know if there's a hard and fast rule. I think if someone asked me for a call and schedules were tight, I'd ask if the car were ok. If I'm requesting the call, I'd probably take in in the office/at home. Feels like half of Microsoft made Optimism Brewing Co / Metier Cycling their office, so I don't think it's that serious. My mid-30s bosses take all their 1:1s in the car. |
This is just an evolution of the office suites that came in yesteryears. The car phone in MB, the office integration pro package in BMW after BT became a thing. With self driving becoming more prevalent, I can see how executives would like an option to deal with work things while driving in the name of efficiency. |

The X1 doesn't have a iDrive knob, it's ok after having it for a few days but the knob was definitely better. With some of the manufacturers learning things "the hard way" and started putting buttons back in, I'm surprised BMW still went all in with screens. |

Teams built into the car is wild, but I suppose the angle of the camera is better than the double chin boomer look some guys get when they take a Teams call with the damn phone on their lap/steering wheel :lol |

It's not just the iDrive dial. It's the fact that there are dedicated, hardware buttons laid out surrounding the dial, which your fingers & thumb naturally rest on. [MEDIA] | [MAIN MENU] | [NAVIGATION] [BACK] | iDRIVE DIAL | That means you can context-switch very fluidly between music/audiobook/phonecall, and your navigation. I modified our i3 so that the screen is also touch-enabled. Having both is absolutely the ultimate solution. |

Honestly the big change is when you are parked, it shows the meeting content (slideshows) on the big screen. |

- Subaru/toyota: OEM Audio Plus or the Crux amp (180W RMS) - BMW: BavSound / Match - Tesla: Alpine I still think upgraded Camry JBL, C-Class Burmester, G05 X5 H/K system really suck. The rear speakers on the Mustang were basically useless with the top down; no audio gets back there. I don't think the market agrees with me because even my friends who love EDM seem content with their Mazda Bose system or shitty Toyota system. |
Off topic: if anyone has amp and 'sound deadening' suggestions for S2000 I'd like to hear em. - AP1v2 setup with 4 speakers. - Running Sony DSX-GS80 (200w RMS, Class D) with 3x 5V pre-outs. - Polk DB6502. - Cerwin Vega VR10 underseat sub. |
Isn't it a lot of work, rip out interior then sound deaden, not much you can do since soft top |

I'm not exactly a audio snob, but I'm not estranged from audiophile stuff either, I run a amped Sennheiser HD800S setup for headphones. |
Everything sucks ! Real geezers listen to AM radio |
Yours is W205 right? Do you know if your burmester system is stock or if something's been done to it? == On my cousin's C43, from what I remember... - 4" mid-range >> where is the mid bass? can't hear bass guitar riffs or kick drums - 6? 6.5?" footwell woofer >> where is the low bass? bass drops don't sound good to me it also feels shouty when you turn it up because there's a lot of mid/highs without mid and low bass to smoothen it out. we just threw the match kit at it which made the footwell woofers bigger too == FWIW, I hate the way F series BMW drive but their Harmon Kardon is quite good compared to G20 and W205- 7 band EQ, 8" subs for low-ish bass. We didn't touch the setup in the F80 he later got. My best guess is manufacturers figured out after the W204/F30 that consumers just want a brand and shiny speaker grille. They could reuse the same speakers with some tuning instead of giving an actual audio upgrade. W205 Burmester was only a ~1k upgrade from the base audio on C class. |

I've added sound deadening to 3 cars, my NC (trunk), my TSX (doors and trunk), and my RDX (entire interior). Results varied with the TSX having the most impact. Doors are easy - you can do them in 1-3 hours depending on how detailed you are and how many layers you're applying (deadener, decoupler, and barrier) The doors on a S2000 are probably as hollow as on a TSX so I'd guess you'd have some good results if you do them - the TSX sound system sucks but I was able to turn down the volume as a result and still hear music better (clearer and louder). |
Yeah just need enough to make the speakers a little bit more effective. Does anyone here have the roll hoop speakers? |
Spotted this Zeekr 007GT and thought it looked beautiful with great proportions and stance. It looks much better than any of the BBA's recent launches, and is different enough to not be a knockoff of a Taycan Sport Turismo IMO. It's kinda crazy that the Chinese (luxury) brands are the ones churning out tasteful designs while the Germans seem to be having amnesia in this moment. Please Geely, brand this as a Polestar so we can get one in Canada BibleThump https://i.ibb.co/G4GkjKz1/IMG-1695.jpg https://i.ibb.co/wXH423G/IMG-1697.jpg Meanwhile, Mercedes has this to show for the same price :heckno: https://i.ibb.co/G3cMsmFd/IMG-1651.jpg |
absolutely. id buy a China EV or that China van that has the swivel seat and super baller interior over any of this german trash. China's got their EV's down. im riding that Segway C80 scooter to the gym every day and its been flawless. Not a single hiccup. |
