can't wait til we're officially out of the playoffs so this stupid team can finally focus on rebuilding

With this owner, that is not gonna happen... :D

Hansen held out of practice. theres been a lot of calls on him. two weeks away still.. rest day/trade?

6o4__boi 02-14-2017 09:32 AM

probably rest day

i'd be surprised if he was traded now
if he was, i hope the deal is amazing

radioman 02-14-2017 10:08 AM

What are your guys wishes for any of our trade material?

Hansen
Miller
Tanev

etc

Miller is playing lights out, wonder if he would move to a Cali team and fetch something good.

6o4__boi 02-14-2017 10:14 AM

people are saying this year's draft isn't as deep/good

Hoping that means we can stockpile on first rounders from contenders/playoff chasers and maybe even use those assets to move up at the draft

That or projected top 6 prospects would be nice, i'm about 80% sure that Virtanen is a bust so another prospect that can take his place in the depth pool/prospects cupboard would be nice.

Doubt Miller will be moved. I'm surprised no one's made a move for Halak yet tbh. If i was a Cali team, i'd be all over that, lower cap hit than Miller and younger. Guy is clearly still an NHL goalie (dominating the AHL right now) that was hampered by a shitty NYI team.

Jmac 02-14-2017 10:17 AM

Miller to LAK makes sense for everyone involved; LAK can't seriously think they can contend with Budaj. Miller wants to stay in the Pacific for family reasons. We obviously want futures.

Wouldn't trade Tanev unless huge overpayment coming back.

Hansen I'd keep personally.

Halak has another year left on his contract and LAK has huge cap issues.

things that make sense don't happen to the Canucks lol

what would you like to see out of a Miller deal from LA?

But isn't Quick expected to be back from his injury really soon?
If anything, the Nucks should have lost those last 3 games last season and try for the Matthews/Laine.

trade Burrows to Montreal and Hansen to some where else for draft picks. We need to trade a dman as well since two are going to be exposed at the expansion draft. That being said I doubt dimjim will trade anyone and fuck us like he normally does.

6o4__boi 02-14-2017 11:06 AM

trade Gudbranson before Dim Jim signs him for stupid money

we already have TryamKING...who is already a better physical dman than Gudbranson and all before his 300th game

wait...could they expose Gudbranson to Vegas lottery? If he can't be traded because of injury, that'd be a pretty good way to get rid of him.

murd0c 02-14-2017 11:12 AM

yes him ans sbisa will both be exposed for the vegas lottery

radioman 02-14-2017 11:15 AM

Man you guys are quick to get rid of Gudbranson lol

6o4__boi 02-14-2017 11:20 AM

yeah...cus he's gonna cost a lot more than he's worth (which was why the Panthers got rid of him in the first place)

I can't say he's better than Sbisa, Tryamkin, or Stecher
Hell, Stecher plays with more sandpaper than he does and probably has more hits than Gudbranson in his first 20 games vs Guddy's first 20.

The only regular roster player he's above on the depth chart imo is Ben Hutton. But he's at least got offensive potential and has a manageable cap hit.

The Gudbranson trade is basically a Ballard trade 2.0

Liquid_o2 02-14-2017 11:31 AM

Gudbranson trade was brutal. He is never going to amount to more than a 4 to 6 d-man. Luckily McCann isn't panning out that well in Florida so far, but he is still young and has plenty of time to develop.

Mike Oxbig 02-14-2017 12:33 PM

we can fetch a 1st round pick for Gudbranson. Just like the pylon Griffin Reinhart did for the NYI

highfive 02-14-2017 12:33 PM

Julien new coach for the habs. Lol that was fast

Would u do Yakupov + 2nd for Hansen? Have the Sedins feed him pucks

6o4__boi 02-14-2017 12:37 PM

Yakupov is KHL bound

1st + Barbashev for Hansen if STL wants Hansen

Jmac 02-14-2017 12:45 PM

Fun fact: Montreal fired Therrien in 2003 and replaced him with Claude Julien.
