vegas allowed to start trading as soon as final payment goes through. that could be in time for tdl, making it a year with more trades than usual (they cant trade for anyone in the nhl/ahl though. only junior/ncaa prospects and players on loan overseas)

In 2000, this is what SJ had to trade to protect Nabokov. Most will think fuck, that's a good deal. But this was Nabokov who only had 11games of NHL experience, and was seen as a good prospect. not a full time starter

The NHL now has a salary cap, is based on younger players, and LV's owner wants to compete asap. The price will be much higher.

3d: tanev, edler, gudbranson (hutton, tryamkin, subban, stetcher exempt)
1g: markstrom

exposed:
min. 2 f: granlund, guance, dorsett?(depends on injury)
min. 1 d: sbisa, biega(after 1 more game)
min. 1g:bachman

basically they are either taking granlund or sbisa. unless McPhee needs the grit, leadership and punching bag material in dorsett. If we really wanted to protect granlund I wouldn't give anything more than a package of the following prospects: mceneny, olson, sautner, labate. Even then that allows us to go out and replace those meh prospects with possibly better NCAA ones
I can see McPhee trying to gamble with benning and say "if you give subban/gaudette/lockwood etc, ill take sbisa and you get 3.6mil cap"

Agreed, so awesome to watch. I will never forget sports radio getting lit up with they'll never be anything more then 3rd line checker calls for the first couple years they were in the league. The chemistry between those two is unmatched.

after these next 7 games I expect the canucks to be 5th last in points per game. they are at 1.02 currently, 4 teams at 1.00. all of those teams have easier schedules than the canucks

Decided to just listen to the game while playing video games. The team sounds just as bad as it looks.

I think i can pretty much start to skip games and they'll all more or less play out the same as long as Willie is coach.

I feel bad for all the suckers that still pay to watch the game live. Talk about a waste of money

The last period and a half were actually pretty entertaining I think, Canucks generated a lot of chances... first half was abysmal though.
