With Matthews joining the Leafs later this week and Andersen between the pipes, there's definitely cause for excitement among Leafs Nation. Something we could use :okay: |

i wouldn't exactly call Anderson "stability"...he's a pretty pedestrian goalie imo, plus he played behind a pretty a good Ducks team that shut it down in the 2nd half. Reimer has almost identical stats with similar games and played most of last year behind a shitty Toronto team Looks like Florida is making a run for Keith Yandle |
If we get Dubois with the 5th pick, and Demko rising the ranks over the next couple years, there is still some excitement. I was thinking the other day, with the addition of Gudbranson, our back-end could end up being huge. Edler - 6'3" 215 Tanev - 6'2'" 190 Gudbranson - 6'5" 215 Hutton - 6'2'" 185 Sbisa - 6'2" 200 Tryamkin - 6'7" 230 Pedan - 6'5" 210 Hamhuis? - 6'1" 210 |
I guess I'm glad we didn't spring for MAF instead. As BobMack said: "No one would have batted and eye if they drafted an 18yr old goalie with the 30th pick." |
does this mean bernier is getting moved? |

Well that was fast :lol |
I thought you would get more for Andersen? haha Benning fucked the ducks over with the Lack trade! At least Gillis got us Horvat in the 9th overall pick. I wonder where our offence is going to come from on the back end? Edler? Hutton? Next player would be Sbisa? lol |
You can't even compare Schneider to Andersen. |
Leafs need somewhat of a goalie, not sure if this is the best choice haha oh well if it turns out to be another bernier situation... then too bad |

Paid too much, both in terms of trade assets and contract. |
$5.5 AAV for Andersen?!?! Are they mad??? Inb4 Andersen mails it in for 5 seasons and disappears into obscurity after cashing in, somehow, on pretty limited and moderate success playing on a President's Trophy calibre team. |
lol Brendan Gaunce's twitter account got hacked this morning...some hilarity ensued |
dreger reporting that buffalo will be offering stamkos 12mil per season. da fuk canucks d prospect brisebois got invited to Canada's world junior camp canucks new website promoting their "next core", and for trying to get more ticket sales http://nextchapter.canucks.com/#0Page |
Stamkos is not worth 12 mil. Look at Tampa, they made it to the eastern final without him. He's a great player, but is no Toews or Crosby. |

At least our GM Murray said he has no idea where that report came from as the Sabres haven't even begun internal discussions about contract dollars for UFA targets, could be Stamkos' agent throwing shit out there to drive up hype. Only thing that worries me is Pegula has too much money and loves spending it as evident from building Penn State an arena, building a full state of the art practice facility, training center next to the the Sabres' arena and full arena upgrades with his own money. Not to even mention purchasing the Bills & the contracts handed out to Leino, Ehrhoff & O'Reilly, at least O'Reilly is worth his contract. |
Rangers beat writer saying Blackhawks are kicking tires at Malkin trade, Rangers fans are saying this guy is usually pretty reliable. Chicago Chronicle paper saying they hearing this too and Kyperos also was saying earlier this playoffs he thinks this might be Malkins last year with Pens. No idea how Chicago would make this work under the cap. |
Malkin for Kane :troll: |

If this is true, wow! I really admire how Stan Bowman has absolutely no hesitation when it comes to going after players. Most GM's in his position would probably do very little and remain hamstrung by the team's cap issues and look for cheaper options without moving too many pieces. |
If Malkin is traded to the Blackhawks, perhaps the Pens want to add more experience, and depth on their blueline. Maybe a top pairing defenceman is traded to Pittsburgh in order to create the cap room to acquire Gino? :considered: When Trevor Daley was injured during the Stanley Cup Finals, the Pens' defensive depth was weakened somewhat. |
