lmao at sliding his hand towards his head

lol wut?

all i said is it wasnt slamming his head. i didnt say that he didnt guide or push his head. slamming his head would of been weber on zetterberg.
what im trying to say is virtanen had his hand on the guys back and as the guy dropped lower (resulting in the hand on the back rising as virtanen kept the same level) virtanen and with his momentum kept going resulting in the hand on the helmet. hes still at fault because he should of moved his hand away when it got to that point.

im just saying its not as bad as some people make it out to be

No, that was in season 2001-02. Canucks were heavy underdogs if I recall. 8th seed.
But they somehow managed to steal the first 2 games against Detroit in their own arena. Until game 3 when Cloutier let that in, then the whole series turned around.

Season 02-03 was the one where they had a legit shot and pissed away a 3-1 series lead against Minnesota in the 2nd round. Definite failure.

6o4__boi 10-18-2016 02:05 PM

That Minny series was a legit choke job
I still remember when we came back 3-1 to beat an STL Quenneville coached team that had Demitra in his prime, MacInnis, Pronger, Mellanby, Tkachuk, and Weight

only to fuck up and choke 3-1 against the fucking Wild who only knew how to trap

This team's post-season history, man, it's a huge let down.

During the West Coast Express era, we scored tons of goals, but we also let in a lot. We had the offense, but not the defense/goalie to be a legitimate contender.

Jmac 10-18-2016 03:21 PM

Also lacked depth. It was a fun team to watch, but I never really considered them legit contenders like the '09-'10, '10-'11, and '11-'12 Canucks.

Don't forget it getting out in the media about bonehead Bertuzzi walking by the Minny fans and teling them not to bother buying tickets for the next game because there wouldn't be one.

Yup, Willie Mitchell dominated for Minny after Bert said that and led to the comeback.

02-12 was a great decade for the canucks even without making the playoffs or winning the cup. We were always missing that one piece. No goalie in '03, no legitimate scoring threat in '11.

Now we have neither. :(

Expresso 10-18-2016 04:29 PM

In 2011, both Daniel and Kesler had 40+ goals that year.

dbaz 10-18-2016 04:38 PM

so much nostalgia..have you guys been eating these?

Jmac 10-18-2016 08:31 PM

Point, 60 to go

AzNightmare 10-18-2016 08:32 PM

Wtf.... Canucks tie and then fall asleep for the next 60 seconds.... Had so many chances to clear the zone. So lucky St louis didn't score.
