Pretty unprofessionally to do that to Galant. They must not have liked his comments on the moves they made.
Basically the panthers management is now the analytics dream team. So this will really show what analytics are actually good for.
Firing a coach who won 47games last year this early seems stupid. Same with the roster moves in the off-season but I guess analytics told them to

D lines are expected to be

Sbisa/Stetcher
Hutton/Gudbranson
Tryamkin/Larsen

Scary.....

Stecher has shown that he can play both sides and carry his d partner if need be
Guy was a beast last game, played 24 mins and looked like a solid top minute guy.

I'm interested in seeing Tryamkin and Larsen together. Both guys played in the KHL. Tryamkin has been pretty solid defensively lately, so maybe Larsen can find the space to make himself useful. If not, Biega is a decent bottom pairing dman.

I have no problems with Stetcher on the top D line.
It's Sbisa being his partner that has me concerned.
I'm also not completely sold on Larsen. His play doesn't give me a lot of confidence.
Still not liking the Gudbranson and Hutton pairing either.

as much i like to rag on Sbisa, he's been ok.
But 4-6 weeks possibly on the top pairing is a pretty scary thought.

Lol i remember hearing something during the last game that made me laugh pretty hard, something about Gudbranson having a bomb for a shot and the Canucks should get him open on the point during PP's.

I swear I can almost count with both hands how many shots Gudbranson has hit the net with so far this season. Guy might have a hard shot but it's guaranteed to miss like it's guaranteed Edler's stick will break.

they need to separate Gudbranson and Hutton. At this point, it wouldn't hurt to try something new

I'd like to see Subban but he's too much of a defensive liability to be with this group. maybe if it was Larsen/Hutton that got injured, he'd get the call but we're already down our top two.

What are you talking about? You know Sbisa is leading the team in +/- and has been one of our more dependable d guys all season long, right?

And Biega becomes trade bait if another team decides they need a dman to expose.
