I use my pro controller as my daily driver. The ergonomics are really nice, has a good weight to it.

Un like the joy cons, my hands cramp up easily due to its size.

But if I keep it attached to the switch, it's tolerable

Also I've heard that if you change your region to Russia you can get Sonic Mania for ~$10 instead of the $25 for CAD. Anyone do this before?

Picked up Maro and Rabbids also. Been playing it for the last couple of days and it's a very enjoyable game with out having to pick a part your brain.

I don't have the attention span to play BOTW, but I'm sure if I had to sit down and take the time to play with it I would enjoy it also. Embarrassingly enough I'm still in the first part of the game where you're suppose to find chilli peppers and cook it with meat. Then climb into one of the mountains.

Asking mainly cause I want to pick one up for on the go gaming. Having to lug around another controller defeats the purpose of being portable..... how does it compare to say the psp vita control?

Its very portable. you can add some beef to the console by using a plastic hard shell around the joycons if thats your thing

european 09-05-2017 10:51 AM

Its super portable
Just connect the joy cons to the sides of the switch screen and off you go
No need for another controller, but everyone has their own preference.
I use a pro controller at home when the switch is connected to the TV

Mr.Money 09-05-2017 12:16 PM

if you have massive hands the joycon's are gonna be awkward for you...i sure as hell couldn't get use to disconnected and my hands aren't even huge,i ended up clicking it back on and gaming that way.

The Nintendo Direct yesterday was pretty good for the Switch:

DOOM and Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus announced for the Switch yesterday. Can't wait to see more AAA titles come from the big developers.
https://i.redd.it/es4ykhgovtlz.jpg

Project Octopath Traveler
Skyrim: Nov 17
Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Dec 1

Still waiting for Stardew Valley Though Y_Y

Mr.Money 09-14-2017 11:58 AM

those screen shots are kinda weak, you'll have to see it in person to get a real feeling for it..

and if you haven't tried doom before...Buy it,its such an amazing run and gun..options to upgrade weapons,armor,health...choose wisely.

decent metal soundtrack also....i enjoyed my time with the game,i haven't checked the full information but hopefully the switch edition includes the extra DLC they released for it

https://www.destructoid.com/there-s-...n-460922.phtml

also pretty cool looking red joy cons for the new mario, but i think the splat looks more wicked with the neon bright colors by far still..hopefully aftermarket companies start coming out with everything in the future for design.

They need a fucking open world pokemon game ffs...

i'm gonna be hella disapointed if in 2 years the only game i bought this system for was BotW...

BoTW has been amazing so far though, just finally completed all the divine beasts and got the master sword

TypeRNammer 09-18-2017 07:00 PM

If anyone is looking for a Switch, i am selling mine for what i think is a pretty decent deal. Check the Computer Tech, Gaming & Electronics Buy & Sell.

:)

An Easter egg was discovered on the Switch. On July 11, you make a specific motion with the Joycons, and you get Nintendo's Golf from 1984.

^ read about that in the early findings but they had no idea how to unlock it

Has anyone played Xenoverse 2 on the other consoles? I haven't played it before but I'm kind of interested since I need a game to hold me off until Odyssey. The gameplay looks alright but I'm more interested in being in the DBZ universe. Haven't played a game since Budokai 2 and really like how I can bring it on my trip with me tomorrow.

Also been watching Super so that's why I'm pretty intrigued.

Pro controller. I use it all the time when I'm on the couch. Then I connect the joycons onto the sides of the unit and play when I want to move to the bedroom. I love the switch.

Those screen shots are not that bad in my opinion. I can see the PS4 has a much sharper image but the Switch is not bad either. I'd be fine with it. I enjoy the switch a lot more than my PS4 right now... but that will certainly chance once Gran Turismo is released! :D

Tim Budong 10-14-2017 08:51 AM

anyone playing stardew valley? lol

Hondaracer 10-14-2017 09:39 AM

i played about 30 hours of stardew valley on PC, kinda lost its luster pretty quick, it has its quirks etc. but its fairly dry i found, and the "quests" are kinda scattered and hard to understand

Golf Story interests me
