Was this ever verified? I mean I do believe this woman's story and I do believe there probably was another woman there warning that people would die but could have been a coincidence? With thousands of people at a concert, you're going to run into kooks. Or maybe the woman knew something?
He booked an airbnb facing another concert in Sept which headlined Chance the Rapper so...that would have been a completely different category of people. Perhaps something made him get cold feed at this concert.
Quote:
Officials say the Las Vegas shooter rented a room in the city around the same time that an alternative music festival was taking place from Sept. 22 to 24.
Sheriff Joseph Lombardo told reporters that Stephen Paddock rented a room through Airbnb at the Ogden hotel in downtown Las Vegas but he didn’t know why. CBS News reported that the gunman had requested specific suites, but they had already been booked.
A police source told CBS investigators were looking into whether or not he was targeting the Life is Beautiful festival, which featured Chance the Rapper, Muse, Lorde and Blink-182.
He didn't get cold feet, the rooms weren't available.
I would like to see a view of the concert from the suites he requested. Would be pretty obvious if this was his motive. Clearly he was thinking well ahead.
Barrels heat up and bend but not like it matters when you’re just raining bullets from a 30th floor. I’d say the guy was just nuts and brought as many guns as he could get to the hotel with him. The amount of weaponry he had seems to be a point of conspiracy in FB comments etc due to the question raised here.
Depends a bit on when he bought them. Some people own a lot of guns, and I would hazard a guess that somebody doing something like this is going to bring absolutely everything they own. Either way even the most reliable gun can fail, especially when being used like this, and he's hardly going to want to stop to strip a gun and figure out what's having problems.

thats cute. If you read the description however the only thing thats on fire is the gas tube, the barrel itself is fine.
M16, AR15, etc. mostly shoot variants of the .223 round, essentially a law enforcement/warfare round used for killing humans.
This guy with a similar rifle shoots 1000 rounds through a continuous belt with no problem, the .223 rounds are only slightly larger than your .22 long rifle.
A higher end rifle such as your Sig's, H&K, etc. would have no problem cycling through thousands of rounds before jamming, bad ammo could be a cause but the internals and receivers of high end guns are rarely a problem.
The guy had 54 minutes or whatever before cops came up, even with a jam or two he could have unloaded as much as he needed.
Odd's are he ran out of ammunition up there, or at least loaded mags, not having a gun problem.
Oh, and turns out i actually care now! i changed my mind, so thats cool.. i can hop on that bandwagon and feel a a part of the crowd, see it's that simple

God damn, you continue to show your stupidity.
How easy is it to continue firing when any part of your rifle is on fire/smoking? Also reloading a super heated rifle is no easy task. His goal was obviously to shoot as fast as he can in a short period.
Also the guy had AR-15's with bump stock modifications, which is uncomparable to the FULL auto machine gun with a ammunition belt attached that you linked in your video.
Bump stocks can also cause guns to overheat. Some AR-15s have been shown to catch fire when shooting rounds in quick succession. Having multiple guns would have allowed Paddock to switch them out if one overheated.
Police have not said whether Paddock’s gun ignited, but law enforcement officials were able to locate his hotel room because gun smoke filled the room and triggered a fire alarm.

This discussion is over. You try to point out my stupidity yet you clearly have zero knowledge or experience with firearms. You clearly do not understand how lower receivers, magazines, or "bump stocks" work. The video of the .22 with the belt is virtually the exact same gun as the colt you posted.
Bump stocks are nothing, they are not this miracle mod like these articles are making them out to be. Bump stocks will be the scape goat for this incident.
Keep wallowing in your ignorance and we will all wait around until you "care" enough to post about the next tragedy, good day.

.223 might only be slightly larger than .22LR, but they are completely different animals. the 223 bullet itself weighs twice as much and the powder produces over twice the pressure. you cant compare the 2
im actually disappointed you used that comparison.

He had to defend his stupidity, so he went full retard.
Same thing happened with the AR15 before Trump got elected. People thought Hillary would win the election and ban them so sales were high, once she lost sales had a huge decline.

Do you know what’s involved? I’d hardly call it “hard” at all. It’s 10 hours over a weekend and you can buy any AR you want, as much ammo as you want etc.
The only difference is how readily available high capacity magazines are. While restricted firearms are just that, restricted, that only means you can only legally transport from your home to a range. It’s not the law stopping someone from opening fire in a mall or concert etc.
What are you talking about? You are subject to background checks, criminal record checks on a regular basis in order to retain your license. The barrier of entry alone is in obtaining a license is enough to deter most people from even bothering.
That type of regulation does not exist in the States. Any form of barrier of entry to purchasing a gun can help this whole issue.
I don't get these folks who carry this mentality that if we cannot fully fix the problem, then no action should be enacted, which is silly. Why not make incremental changes to the process of obtaining a gun, and see what occurs? What is the worst that can possibly happen by enacting such ideas?
I don't even know why people bother to debate this online. There's no logic involved with people arguing against regulation, the majority of the country supports such measures. I hate how politics has turned us into this team based mentality, where people against their better interest have to pick their teams "philosophy" and stick to it.
Perhaps law enforcement has an agreement with the casino to keep the video private because their security could be compromised if shared with the public? They are dealing with a lot of money, vaults, regulators, high value clients, etc.
That could be a possibility but we all KNOW there are camera's everywhere in a casino. Showing hallway footage or even footage of him bringing all those guns in ALONE would be pretty important for me and many others to believe.
I'm no conspiracy band wagon jumper at all but this is just weird.
And again where did those photos come from?? Where is the footage from the shooters camera's?

Berz out.
Why is it weird? What do you expect to see? The guns aren't going to be out in the open, they'll be in bags. It doesn't really matter what you "believe" since the tinfoil hat nutbars are just going to claim the footage is faked or edited or that we aren't seeing all of it anyways. Even if they released hours and hours of footage from all those cameras (which is expensive as hell to do) some people still won't believe it.

The sheriff believes the shooter had help but funny enough after he made those comments the FBI basically told him to stfu which is probably the reason someone leaked the pictures from within the LVPD because maybe someone was worried about a possible coverup. Nothing about this shooting makes sense.
And to add more fuel to the "conspiracy theory" fire...
Quote:
The two jet fuel tanks Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock fired on from his Mandalay Bay hotel room Sunday are near a secret government-run airline, according to a report.
Paddock fired at the two fuel tanks at McCarran International Airport during his attack on the Route 91 Harvest country music festival — but didn’t cause an explosion.
The massive fuel tanks are located very close to the secret fleet of passenger planes that make up Janet airlines, which the government uses to shuttle workers to intelligence agency outposts like Area 51, according to a RadarOnline.com report.
“JANET is based at McCarran International Airport and its hanger is just beyond a parking lot directly adjacent to those gas tankers,” a source told the website.
“It’s also a very intriguing angle given Paddock worked for the predecessor of Lockheed Martin, one of the U.S. government’s most relied upon military aviation manufacturers,” the source added.
