Oh, RIP. I'll pray for my cousins in the US. |
I'm into 3D printing and watching the prices of 3D printers sold in the US go makes me laugh. Bambu just raised there prices again in the US and I looks like they will raise them again soon. Never thought items would be cheaper in Canada then the US. https://i.ibb.co/s9sMHq5Y/BAMBU-PRICING-APRIL-8-TH.jpg |
Damn. No more harbour freight tools. It cost just as much as Snap-On. lol. |

We'll be telling our kids that back in the day, Grandpa used to buy this 1/2" torque wrench from Harbour Freight for less than USD $10. |
Cheeto's VP made some ignorant remarks about China. -calling Chinese people "peasants" eh? Okay, we'll see Cheeto's MAGA supporters live worse than peasants soon when their Dollarama goods go in price by 104%. https://www.cnn.com/2025/04/08/china...irc_end_recirc “What has the globalist economy gotten the United States of America? And the answer is, fundamentally, it’s based on two principles – incurring a huge amount of debt to buy things that other countries make for us,” Vance told news show “Fox & Friends.” “To make it a little more crystal clear, we borrow money from Chinese peasants to buy the things those Chinese peasants manufacture.” Asked about Vance’s comments at a regular news briefing Tuesday, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said: “It’s both astonishing and lamentable to hear this vice president make such ignorant and disrespectful remarks.” CNN has reached out to Vance’s office for comment. Clips of Vance’s interview made their way to the Chinese internet this week, drawing an intense backlash in a country where factory floors are lined with industrial robots, cities are embracing homegrown electric vehicles and remote counties are connected by a nationwide web of high-speed railways. I would argue that people in China, the "peasants" that Vance is referring to, live in a country with more advanced technology and infrastructure than the U.S. |
Ooooo they fucked around and found out, in before apple and Tesla gets banned. And people were saying Putin was a bully. Nothing rages the Chinese more than dishonor their family. |

What an ungrateful POS... |

Vance is more like an ungrateful, ignorant POS. He probably has never travelled to China. Does he not realize that perhaps his eyeliner might be made in China? LUL |
Are we going to start seeing Americans come up to Canada to buy cheap groceries and consumer goods now? They're already doing it for our hotels and restaurants |
|
OK, wait till China calls back it's >$800 billion of loans to US ... haha. You fucked with the wrong group of people Trump & Vance ... going to be fun to watch this shitshow blow up in their face. |

That's true....imagine signing up for CBP thinking you're going to keep America safe from drug mules and terrorists but spending your days busting your countrymen who just want to make an frittata. |

The only type of peasant I aspire to become is one like the life Badhobz lives. |
I wonder what happens, can other countries just stop buying us debt? Or call their loans? What would happen? They go bankrupt? |

Imagine a Chinese American being called a "peasant" by a MAGA because he/she watched Vance on TV describing the trade relationship between China and the U.S. Then that same MAGA tells a Chinese American, perhaps even an American born Chinese person, to "go back to China". Like, what the fuck??? Such a rude, disrespectful way to treat another person. -borderline racist comment in my opinion to use the term "peasant" on Chinese people. |
Well.. when ya live in a cage and sew dolls heads on for a living, ya ain’t an oligarch lol The name calling will Ultimately come back to bite them and Vance is a Moron that keeps outing his foot in his mouth. This is gonna get uglyyyyyyy |

-very unlikely for China to sell a huge portion or all of its US debt. There are not many options for the Chinese government to invest 800 billion US from selling all US debt. -would be self-inflicted pain for China to do so as per the article. Selling a large portion of debt or all US. debt would be like lobbing a grenade at another person in the same room as you. -from the article: If China started selling, it would trigger a plunge in dollar values, immediately hammering the value of all of its remaining dollar holdings. And China would not have many options for what it could do with the proceeds of what it did sell, says Williams. “If it brings them back to China, the renminbi appreciates,” says Williams. This would make China’s exports far more expensive for the rest of the world, hitting its ability to export. Moreover, the economic self-harm in China would potentially be for nothing, as the US Federal Reserve would step in to stop the damage in the US before it could really get started. |
It took only 50 years for China from being a poor country to being able to contend with the US. US is nowhere if it wasn't for the "genius visa" sucking up all the brains from around the world. Well now the brains are going back and US is not looking good. From George Carlin. "Soon the only thing you need to get into college is a pencil" |
I was reading on the GR Corolla group on FB that dealers in the US are telling sales staff that Toyota, at least initially, is eating the tariff on their cars and not passing the cost on. Crazy. See how long that lasts for... They're probably betting on Trump to change course. |
dont car manufacturers only make a few grand off each sale? im sure exotics have a bigger margin but anything in the mid range can't be making enough money to stay profitable enough after eating tariffs. definitely won't be long before they have no choice but to pass the tariffs on. |
https://www.cnn.com/2025/04/08/china...hnk/index.html Oh, the irony of Vance growing up in a working class neighbourhood and calling Chinese people "peasants". He's from a family of hillbillies. He forgot about his family roots? Others noted the irony of Vance’s comments given his own working-class upbringing as depicted in his 2016 memoir “Hillbilly Elegy.” In the book, Vance chronicles a childhood plagued by poverty, abuse and his mother’s drug addiction and spent partly in Appalachia, a corner of the United States he felt had been forgotten by wealthy elites. The book by Vance – a venture capitalist before his foray into politics – caused a sensation after Trump’s first election win and was widely seen as an explanation for the billionaire’s rise among the White working class. |
For some reason this doesn’t bother me at all. He can call me peasant all he likes! It’s just moving China closer to Europe and increasing our people’s sphere of influence while taking the narrative away from the “big bad communist” to just another victim of American imperialism |
I like on WeChat how a big thing is saying he needs to look at his peasant wife cuz she’s from India where the true peasants are from ahahaha asians be so racist lol |
