The Right: Gays are diseased! Kill the trannies! Black people are retarded! The Left: Live longer! Earn a living wage! Be safe! Yep, totally the same. Everyone: Release the Epstein files |

Also sad for the people who didn't vote for Trump suffering because of his idiotic policies. |

"As financial flexibility continues to erode, it's not surprising to hear that Canadians are feeling anxious and uncertain about what steps they can take to try to find their footing again," said Craig Bannon, director, Regional Financial Planning Support, RBC. "If this was a medical health issue, you would seek out the expertise of a medical professional. We're advising Canadians to use the same approach for their financial health and lean into the expertise of an advisor." Additional anxieties raised by Canadians in responses to the RBC poll: Half (50%) are spending all their income on essential bills and expenses Almost half are living "bill to bill" and that they have dipped into their emergency fund or retirement savings, to help cope with rising costs (47% each) Over one quarter (27%) are taking on debt to cover monthly basic needs Almost a quarter (23%) have asked family for money or moved in with relatives to make ends meet https://www.rbc.com/newsroom/news/ar...article=125971 |
I don’t know if it’s the liberals or that our economy is completely and utterly tied with the Americans. They are all facing economic hardship right now thanks to the tariffs and we are directly impacted in turn. Malls are dead, restaurants are empty, homes are piling up and nobody is spending. Everyone is hoarding cash and that’s for sure gonna spiral the economy downwards. |
https://www.reddit.com/r/canada/comm...ot_worse_with/ https://www.reddit.com/r/Economics/c...ugust_jobless/ I wonder if the buddy guys are the first to get cut, considering they are temp? Low skilled labours, if ppl can't afford $15 foot longs subways are gonna close. Who's still going to Singh Hortons now a days? I already know ppl who didn't get their work permits renewed and had to quit and go back to home country. They said they can reapply to come back doe so not sure what's going on. |
Perhaps this belongs more in the Canadian politics thread, but since we are on the topic of the weak Canadian economy, a sign of the lean times is how fast food joints are actually starting to offer inexpensive deals again. The most recent Subway coupons I received actually had a $14 for 2 footlong sandwiches deal, and I honestly haven't seen Subway being that cheap for quite a while. (Last year, I paid $14 for a fair basic footlong on the 1 or 2 occasions when I had very few meal options available while I was on a road trip.) Dominos and Little Ceasars did some $5 and $7 medium pizza deals as well, and I seem to think McD and AW had offered something reasonable for a change back in July/Aug. |

The fuck am I doing here :okay: |
Are they white chicks though? Cuz I’m pretty sure badhobz is not interested in ABGs with dyed hair… |
I don’t discriminate. Blonde is blonde |
But the stock, real estate, and crypto markets have been booming. The one percent are talking all the money and the middle class is going broke. |

Still waiting on the cheap fast food though :fuckthatshit: I think it's part of why the MAGA people are raiding the country of all its value as if there's no future. They see a grim future, and are trying to extract as much out of it as they can, while it still exists. |

I haven't been down here in Phoenix for a few years now, noticing WAY more homeless people this year in the city, and more spread out as well. Where's Honda at :lol I never shop at Walmart, but I had to pop in for a few things while I've been down here, holy fuck, you can tell why China is going to take over the world. The public education system down here is atrocious, and the average person seems dumber than anyone you'd generally run into in Canada at the same type of store. I had three associates in a row have no idea something as basic as what direction a lettered section in this stupid store was. Me: "Do you guys sell rope here, we assume in the camping section but couldn't find it?" First Associate: *Blank look* "uhhhhhhhh" then proceeds to stand there silently with a dumb look on her face. Me: "Never mind" In Walmart the sections are lettered, we were in a rush and didn't feel like walking through the whole Supercenter to find a certain area. Me: "You know where Section L is located" Second Associate: *Blank look* (I truly believed she didn't know what the letter L in the alphabet even was) "No I only know and work the front counter." Me: *Chuckle* "OK" See a third associate, walk over to him as he's stocking chips. Me: "Hey, do you know what direction the L Section is?" Third Associate: *Another blank look* "Uhhhhh sorry I only work in the A Section, so I wouldn't know where L is." He was a nice old man, so I smiled and chuckled again. I ended up walking the perimeter of that big ass store and eventually found it, I just marveled at the fact I could go through three employees that didn't even know the basic layout of the store they've worked in for who knows how long. I feel like most competent people would have a basic idea of the layout of sections in a store within less than a week of working there. I notice these types of funny interactions often when I'm down here in certain states in the US, and I've always thought it as a sad indictment of the disparity of education between economic classes in this country. It's always a nice reminder when I come down here. I end up appreciating Canada more, we have our problems, but they do feel distinctly different than what's going on down here in the US, and I'm always happier when I return home. |
There's a reason why they work at Walmart......... |

I ran into these similar interactions when living in Texas. This is certainly an issue with the basic access to quality public education. |
Republicans are destroying the department of education for a reason. They know uneducated people are easier to control. Your average conservative voter is less educated than your average liberal voter. |
Texas, now Phoenix? What are you doing to yourself Mike? You some kinda masochist? lol At least head up north to Canyon country or something damn! |
