Of course lol. They committed visa fraud. The us wants them to bring their expertise and people.to train American workers. They weren't doing that, brahhhhhhhh

If Trump (or anyone in his camp) still thinks the international community would still be interested in investing in the US in the next 3.5 years, he is delusional. At this point, the prudent thing to do is to just show trepid interest and proceed at a glacial pace on the US investments to keep Trump / US from flipping out, while seeking viable alternatives elsewhere in the World.

Not sure if anyone paid attention to the dinner that Trump hosted early in the month where all the tech giants were invited. At one point during the dinner, Trump went around to ask all the tech bros how much they plan/pledge on investing in the US in the future / next few years (or something along those lines). Basically everybody just played along and told him a big fat number to appease him. But if anyone were to look into those numbers more carefully, they'd realize that almost none of the numbers are financially viable for the company that mentioned it.

You're absolutely right, nobody in their right mind would invest in the US right now. That being said, our economies are so coupled together (including China's) that basically everyone has no choice but to play ball with these fascist idiots. Looking at the transpacific numbers, volumes havent changed. Exports are down, but thats nothing special, mostly empties moving back to asia is norm for trans pac. Imports are about the same as in the last two years, with a slight seasonality dip.

This is an official WH write up for the event:

And Zuck has been quoted to say:

Now if you have the brain processing power to otherwise be taken seriously, you would know that between now to the end of 2028, we have just a bit over 3 years' worth of time. Put those 2 things together, and you'll see Zuck is pledging to invest more $$$ than what Meta can earn in revenues in the next 3 years. And this is revenue, not profits. If Zuck is serious, how can any viable company possibly invest so much money for 3 years straight? It is an absolutely terrible business plan.

When Trump pressed Cook with the same question, Cook's reply was $600B. It is not obvious whether he meant $600B per year or what. If the figure is $600B/yr, then Apple didn't even earn that much in revenues in 2024. (FYI it was around $560B+)

Other tech bros also mentioned big a$$ numbers that seemed entirely unrealistic and/or disingenious just to appease Trump.

So tell me again -- why would anyone, esp someone from the international community -- want to invest in the US over the next few years while Trump is still in office?

Doesn’t that mean the US citizen is just getting tariffed to hell? Why would Asian countries stop selling if they are buying?

Oh I remember. Zuckerberg that sleezeball pulling some random number of $600 billion in investments over 2028 in the US in AI infrastructure, then not realizing after his mic was still hot, turn to Trump and say "Sorry I made that number up, I didn't know how much you want me to say"

Fucking gross man.

U.S. President Donald Trump offered to allow hundreds of South Korean workers arrested during an immigration raid to stay in the United States, but only one has opted to remain, South Korean officials said on Thursday.

Trump's overture sought to encourage the workers to stay and train Americans, according to the officials. It resulted in a one-day delay to the departure of a chartered plane to bring the workers home.

Unlike other U.S. deportations, they were not handcuffed – satisfying a key demand from South Korea, which has been horrified by the raid, particularly by the use of armoured vehicles and shackles.

Sick analysis, bro.

Maybe you should attend a shareholder meeting so you can share your detailed analysis with them. Obviously you know something the CEO, CFO, and board of directors don't know.

Best of luck.

OK let's see... which of the following is the more far-fetched idea?

- that Zuck has concrete plans to invest more money than what Meta earns in revenues for the next 3 consecutive years? or

- that the $600B over 3 years figure is just something that Zuck pulled out of his a$$ when he was suddenly confronted by Trump with the question

You are free to believe what you want to believe.

!LittleDragon 09-18-2025 02:52 PM

What's going to happen is companies will maybe spend a billion to buy some property and break some ground... slowly build some structures... and then they'll make up some excuse and say it's not profitable or they couldn't find the talent. Kinda like what Foxconn did

The majority of these tariffs are being eaten up by the company. How much, and how long they can stomach, is a question for someone else, but at least the supply chain keeps churning even with these oppressive tariffs. Also shows how much margin there is in most trash that people are buying.

Kash Patel tells the fantastical story of how two inquisitive minds, Dinesh and Debbie, search for the truth and uncover evidence of a terrible scheme to elect Sleepy Joe instead of King Donald on Choosing Day. Included in the book is a special message from Dinesh D'Souza.

Come join Dinesh and Debbie as they try to answer some troubling questions:

- Why did the counting stop in the middle of the night?
- Why were there more votes than people in the Kingdom?
