The last time we went to states was Seattle in Jan 2024. Haven't been since. We've thrown around the idea of doing an Alaska cruise but I just couldn't get myself to going to the states. There are lots of places that are worthwhile to see in the south. Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend come to mind. Yellowstone is also good. LA/SF/San Diego are all good. Just not right now and probably not for a few years more. |
i used to hike baker at least once or twice a year, but that hardly puts any money into the US economy lol. a day pass is like $5, and we have one dinner there and leave. but for the past 3 years we always went there once in the summer for some tech conferences.. not doing that anymore. also the national parks now charge canadians an extra $100 per head to enter. so much for going to yosemite... its not that i cant afford it but i dont want to pay into that bullshit. |
Reminds me of when I was in India visiting a historic park. Price was was literally this: Indian - 10 rupees Other - 500 rupees |
lol i remember that at the taj mahal. i think all of india does that. cant blame them, it's still nothing to westerners. just checked, 50rs for locals, 1100rs for foreigners. |
As of January 14, Louvre is also raising prices for non-Europeans, from 22 to 32 euros. |
Since Trump's return, I've been to NYC, Hawaii twice, San Fran... nothing's changed in the border crossing. No extra questions, no phone searches, etc... I just went to Pt. Roberts on Saturday to pick up my shipment from Junior's Cheesecake and the guard didn't even talk to me, just nodded at me and off I went. |
Charging foreigners more is very common in developing countries due to the earnings differential between westerners and locals. Charging foreigners more in the US is just plain asshattery given they have the highest disposable income in the world. National park yearly pass was $80 when I went in 2017, now it's going to be $250 and look like this: https://people.com/thmb/H0cC3WvMz5f3...a754c13ba2.jpg Fuuuuuuck that... |
i like how they keep picking that photo of him as their tough photo. to me that's the classic dementia don pic. |
tough on what? he's chickened out on all major issues so far. |

Funny enough, in BC we're required to have our middle name on our IDs, so it's on that, but not my passport. I find it fascinating our rules are more stringent in province than that of my actual international/federal ID in that of my passport. I was told that's a requirement in BC because of our history of drivers from foreign countries passing around their licenses, too many Frank Wangs and Xing Jings to differentiate. Who knows :lol |
^ Stop posting your personal details online! :lol |
Maybe he enjoys being doxxed. :troll: |
Trump's official portrait looks like it's from some cheesy 90's action flick poster where he's in the background as a supporting character. Quote:

In documents filed with the Federal District Court for the District of Columbia on December 10, the Center for Biological Diversity (CBD) argued that the new pass design violates the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act of 2004. According to the text of the act, the Departments of the Interior and Agriculture must hold an annual, public competition to select the artwork for the following year’s America the Beautiful Pass. |

^6 months is the max stay for Canadians in the USA per year, so that's just the normal rules? |
These new Epstein photos released today are pretty fuckeddddd Trump: "I barely knew the guy!" Photos: "Trump condoms for $4.50 each!" Fuck anyone supporting this guy, pedo lovers Same goes for Gates, Bannon, Branson, Clinton, etc. burn em all down it's not even a dem vs rep thing, just a bunch of gross pedos Can you imagine being 17 and having to jerk off sweaty fat old man Bannon's 3" of fury jesus christ |
He’s just gonna claim “fake news!” |
Already done. That gross cunt with the 70 year old husband that does his press said “all these photos do is prove his innocence.” |
The Trump condoms was fucking bizarre, these guys are such weirdo creeps. I've been to countless parties, deviant events/gatherings, walked in various circles of people on the fringe, and have never been to a party with customized condoms. That is on another level of freakiness. How much smoke is needed for MAGA to notice the fire? |
^ I’m surprised we haven’t crossed paths before :lol :lol :lol |
The U.S. midterm elections in November 2026 cannot come soon enough. Are some Republican senators finally saying NO to Cheeto in terms of changing Indiana state's congressional map? FYI, Indiana is a Republican majority state. Cheeto wanted to redistribute Indiana's electoral map so that the Republican can get two additional pro-Republican seats. Republicans in the Indiana senate voted NO. LUL https://www.cnn.com/2025/12/12/polit..._id=related.en Why Indiana is such a major unforced error for Trump The upshot is that Trump’s hold over his party – his most important political asset – appears weaker than at virtually any other point in his two presidencies. Not weak, period, but weaker. After months of uncertainty, the Indiana state Senate on Thursday afternoon finally put the issue to bed, once and for all. It voted 31-19 against the new congressional map, which would have changed a map where the GOP is favored in 7 of 9 districts to one in which it’s favored in all nine. This was a particularly remarkable rebuke of Trump for a few reasons: Republicans hold a 40-10 supermajority in the chamber, but the vote didn’t wind up even being close. In fact, even a majority of Republicans (21) voted against it. They voted against it despite Trump and his party mounting a huge pressure campaign. Vice President JD Vance visited the state twice. House Speaker Mike Johnson got involved, as did Donald Trump Jr. The president called out lawmakers by name on social media and pledged to support primary challengers against anyone who voted no. A right-wing group warned Trump would withhold federal funds from the state if it didn’t obey him. And perhaps most significantly, all this pressure manifested itself in a very ugly series of threats – threats that touched around one-fourth of state Senate Republicans, that we know of. (Law enforcement officials have not linked the threats to any group or campaign. |
^Indiana has had a long tradition of "fair and reasonable" politics, first to join the Civil War, first to offer public education, a lot of their Republicans in that state are true moderates/center right folks that believe in the institutions. Very different than the MAGA sycophants of Texas/Arizona/Florida. |
Out after a month in jail. |
This guy is a congressman. https://i.ibb.co/SXP7VT8f/danp.webp How does a guy making a 140k a year afford to hire Steve Aoki? |
