Canucks might suck, but I'm glad we're not on Ottawa Senators level of sucking

Mike Hoffman's fianceé allegedly behind campaign of harassment against Melinda and Erik Karlsson

Summary of the Ottawa Senators ‘shit show’ over the past year

To recap:

• Owner threatened fans with moving team

• Franchise-best player being sold off

• Assistant GM Randy Lee accused of sexually harassing 19-year old bus driver

• Mike Hoffman’s girlfriend stalks and harasses Erik Karlsson and his wife online

• Team traded 1st-round pick in 2018 or 2019 that they’re now trying to get back

• Fans started revolt against owner including billboards

• Team’s most legendary player left for second time, this time from the front office

• Owner fired CEO, named himself new CEO

• Fan favourite Turris is shipped off

• Both goalies have career-awful seasons

• Not enough money for ushers in the third deck

• Town hall meetings where owner said Alfredsson wanted to leave

• Clarke MacArthur forced to retire from concussions

EDIT:

• Baby onesies outfit is recalled due to ‘choking hazard’

• Mcdonald’s gift cards were handed out on Fan Appreciation Night but the Senators forgot to activate them

• Sections closed off in the arena to increase seating capacity %

Three-way trade plan:
To Sens: Loui Erikson
To Oilers: Hoffman
To Canucks: Lucic

Then wait for Hoffman's fiancee to bully McDavid out of Edmonton and get him too.

Nabatron 06-12-2018 02:55 PM

^doubt that will happen but it would be nice!

Wow Senators... proud capital of Canada :D

What's the story with Hoffman's GF? What reason does she have to stalk the Karlsson family?

Nabatron 06-12-2018 03:54 PM

hoffmans GF seems batshit crazy lol

whitev70r 06-12-2018 04:39 PM

Hoffman's statement ... can someone please interpret WTH he is trying to say ??!! Is he leaving a slight possibility open that it is her?

“There is a 150 per cent chance that my fianceé Monika and I are not involved in any of the accusations that have been pursued (that are) coming our way," he said.

Pretty sure she's a batshit crazy woman. Andrew Hammond's wife tweeted that she's not surprised that this made news and said that EK's wife was trying to be a better person by keeping it a secret before it got leaked.

This makes all those Mike Hoffman trade rumours earlier in the season that much more credible now. I always wondered why the Sens would want to trade him because he's a good player, but now it's pretty obvious why.

never stick your dick in crazy

Jesus Hoffman needs to wake up, he can find anyone to gobble his cock.. this is some career ending shit right here

Funny you mention that, cause Kypreos said that this could end his career if it's true. I'm not so sure of that, because there have been players that have done a lot worse.

68style 06-12-2018 07:09 PM

It’s hard to believe with his goal scoring ability... but would you want to add that to your dressing room? I can see him getting blacklisted if this is true and he doesn’t dump that bitch

Ch28 06-12-2018 08:53 PM

If the President of a basketball team could be fired from allegedly having fake Twitter accounts to cause shit (Colangelo) then I'm sure there will be some teams that'll blacklist him because he doesn't fit in with the "culture of the team"

Imagine showing up to practice and never knowing if what you say or do behind closed doors will be leaked by him and his fiancé.

You forgot the team's most legendary player stating that he's had talks with the mayor and they're both in agreement that they hope the sens get a new owner.

I saw on Twitter as well that burrows "liked" a tweet essentially promoting new ownership in Ottawa

highfive 06-13-2018 04:33 PM

Man the draft is coming up! I wonder if benning is going got trade that 7th pick or not.

I think Jb should use that $14 mil cap space the sedins leave behind to trade for a first rounder for team as that needs a cap dump. Aka Chicago. Aka Carolina for darling and prospect. Or even islanders so they sign JT.

Melnyk is a broke ass owner that is clinging to his 'toy'. He basically fired most of the front office and there's only a skeleton crew hanging around. I can't imagine the fans are going to support the team when Hoffman, EK65, and Duchene all leave.

Any thoughts on Tryamkin's possible return to the Canucks?

He is under contract with his KHL team for two more seasons. Then Nikita might consider returning to our team if JB wants him back on the team. :considered:

https://thecanuckway.com/2018/06/14/...may-come-back/

“I’m still interested how the team plays,” Tryamkin said. “Would I like to come back? Why not. It depends on many factors.”

But as Beichler noted, Tryamkin has two years left on his current contract — and he’s not allowed to leave in the midst of it to return to the NHL, since the two league’s don’t have an agreement in player transfers.

Tryamkin also noted that he still follows Canucks games, as the difference in time zones allow him to do so. This is a telling sign that he still cares about the franchise, so it could certainly leave the door open for a return.

I'm shocked this hasn't been posted yet.

Maybe we will have a decent team in 2 years... then Tryamkin can come back and slot into the Top 4.

Here is an excerpt from Nick Boynton:

Later in my career, it got to a point where I started blacking out after I took a big hit to the head. I’d kind of just wake up in the trainer’s chair with no recollection of what had gone down in the game for the most part, or even things leading into the game. Then I’d go back and watch the tape and see myself doing all sorts of stuff out on the ice that wasn’t familiar. It was like watching someone else play in my body.

And it was scary.

But by that point, I honestly didn’t even care anymore. I was gone, man. Straight up. I didn’t feel anything. I was a dead man skating. My last few seasons, I was out there basically just flat-out killing myself for a paycheck.

I definitely wouldn’t have played for as long as I did had I known that this was how things were going to turn out for me. At the time, I didn’t think too far down the line. But I can say this much for the record right here and now….

I honestly wish I would’ve retired when I was 26 or 27, even before I won a Stanley Cup. And I wish I could go back to that time and have a redo.

They can scratch my name off that cup, and I’d hand my ring back in right now if I could go back and make it so that I wouldn’t have had to experience all this pain and sorrow and anger and sadness.

I’d make that tradeoff in a heartbeat.

Except, even when fighting was far more prominent than it was today (just a few years ago), the vast majority of concussions were as a result of hits, not fights.
