Willie D's salary was never reported, but he did tell NHL.com that he took less money and term than Pittsburgh offered to come to Vancouver because Vancouver allowed him to pick his assistant coaches. For what it's worth, Mike Johnston, Pittsburgh's 2nd choice, made $850k/year and Travis Green makes $1M/year, so I'm guessing it's probably in the $1M/year ballpark. Trotz was making $1.5M/year, would've made $1.8M/year for the next 2 years if he didn't resign. Will likely get double that at least with another team. |
he'll have no trouble |

Yo Hoffman, break up with her now and don't bring her to Florida. Your teammates might actually welcome you there if you did. |
Damn... can I totally fuck up the interpersonal relationships at MY workplace and get shipped to Florida???????? |
might have been his plan all along, move away from cold ass ottawa and get to a nice warm US city San Jose would have been alright but now florida....that's a win (he's got money and can stay away form the rest of normal meth infested state) |
^ his plan? His ass could have been traded to Winnipeg. |

I'm not sold on EK being 100% back to his old self after his last foot surgery. My opinion at least. |
Erik Karlsson is 28 years old. Canucks won't be competitive for another 3 to 4 years, no point in bringing him on now. |
Benning signed Richard Bachman to a 2 year, 2 way contract. https://www.nhl.com/canucks/news/van...an/c-299139204 Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks General Manager Jim Benning announced today that the club has signed goaltender Richard Bachman to a two-year, two-way contract. Bachman, 30, posted a 13-13-5 record with a .902 save percentage and 2.98 GAA in 31 games played with Utica during the 2017.18 season. The 5'10", 175-pound goaltender has played 48 career NHL games, posting a 20-17-2 record, a .906 save percentage and 2.90 GAA. Bachman originally signed with Vancouver as a free agent on July 1, 2015. He was selected 120th overall by Dallas in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. |
Fine by me - he's a good backup/Utica netminder. |
Backup for Utica, Demko likes him. It was reported that he would head to Europe next season, but I guess he changed his mind. |
Great ending to a tremendous career |

This team finished in the bottom six 4 of the past 5 seasons. If they need another 3-4 years to be competitive, the entire management team should be shitcanned immediately and then sued by Aquaman for damaging the value of the franchise. |

you can also make the argument that having him now will speed up the process |
