They are not suppose to. It's just a pain in the ass to program it. You can read the rules here.

i used to go to wendy's and get 3 junior bacon cheesburgers like 15+ years ago (used to be dirt cheap) until one day i got one with a hole in the middle the patty was so thin. never been back lol

I love teen burgers. That's the only fast food burger I'll get.

its literally undrinkable with the soggy collapsing paper straw...the straw needs to be like bbt sized and if they want to make it paper then make it twice as thick. it was already hard enough to drink with the plastic straw.. its not even possible with the paper one.

Man they changed their syrup too.

The strawberry sauce no longer has actual pieces of strawberry in anymore, it's more like that cheap shitty artificial red bottled sundae sauce you can buy in the grocery store now.

They also no longer give you peanuts because of these stupid faggy kids with peanut allergies.

The enshitification continues.

Mcd got rid of their strawberry sauce years ago. I don't think they've brought it back.

spoon.ek9 09-21-2025 05:59 PM

actually, they brought it back with this year's summer deals on the sundae. it was ok, but as mike said, no pieces of strawberries anymore and no peanuts offered. thanks to those weaklings!

costco is still better value for a one off sundae...

agreed but are we not calling 5 guys fast food? 5 guys is so much better

westopher 09-22-2025 09:03 AM

I really like 5 guys but it’s honestly the price of going to the gull and getting a burger and a pint of superflux.
Only difference is that I’d have to tip on that.

68style 09-22-2025 09:14 AM

Yah 5 guys is my dirty little secret to my body... but man the one thing is that you gotta luck out and get a day where the fries are soggy trash... do not recommend taking home or delivery either as that sogs the shit out of them.

I've had it liek 3 times since moving to Calgary and luckily here it's been chef's kiss every time... but Ironwood one was inconsistent in Richmond when I went there.

blkgsr 09-22-2025 10:48 AM

wait you want soggy fries?

when we go we always get them piping hot fresh and crispy

mikemhg 09-22-2025 10:58 AM

5 Guys is top tier for fast food burgers, bar none.

In-N-Out and all those other fuckers don't come close.

The Gull in North Van is fantastic if you're looking for a restaurant burger though.

Wow. Support your local restaurant, bro. Not some American fast food chain. We are supposed to be boycotting them.

westopher 09-22-2025 11:57 AM

I just said I’d go to the gull instead retard.

Usually people capitalize nouns for places such as restaurants.

I hope this helps, bro.

Please continue supporting local businesses.

Cheers,

Five guys are franchises, the ones here are Canadian owned and they source all their main ingredients (beef and potatoes) from Canadian farms.

CivicBlues 09-22-2025 12:35 PM

Anyone else tried Burger Crush? They're pretty good for fast food type smash-burgers, but at almost $18 a pop for a double cheeseburger it's getting pretty ridiculous.

I've got 9/10 stamps on my loyalty card though, so I'm just waiting for my free goddamn burger to make it all worthwhile

JDMDreams 09-22-2025 12:54 PM

How much is 5 men now? What about Wally's I haven't been to either in years, but 5 guys starts at $130 hkd :fulloffuck: which is $23 for base combo.

Traum 09-22-2025 01:00 PM

The Wally's at the East 49th and Elliot store closed down this summer, so the only remaining store in is N.Van (Dollarton area, I think?).

I miss the days when it was the old school joint on Kingsway...

spoon.ek9 09-22-2025 03:29 PM

Save On burger is where it's at boys lol. Quality ingredients and an unbeatable price by today's standards.

mikemhg 09-22-2025 05:28 PM

5 Guys isn't too bad pricewise. Double burger, and a small fries (you don't need any larger) comes to around $17-$19.

That's not brutal when you get a really good quality burger and fuckton of fries, at least when comparing to the other fast food joints.

Since Honda has been silent for the past few weeks, in his honour, I post this ... but honestly, you don't have to be Honda to be pissed at this. How the eff can this person be released ... by law ??!! Changed the frickin law already.

Sex offender to reside in Vancouver
https://vancouver.citynews.ca/2025/0...ide-vancouver/

The convicted sex offender Randall Hopley has been released from custody and is now living in Vancouver, the city’s police department says.

Randall Hopley is out of custody on a recalculated statutory release date, as mandated by law.

In local politics another former ally of Ken Sim is running against him now...

Quote:

Rebecca Bligh to take on Ken Sim for mayor of Vancouver in 2026

Rebecca Bligh is running for mayor of Vancouver.

The independent city councillor, who once served with the NPA and ABC Vancouver, announced her candidacy Monday at the Helena Gutteridge Plaza at city hall, launching a campaign with more than a year to go before the October 2026 election.

Bligh will make her run with a new party called Vote Vancouver, which will include candidates for council, school board and park board. The party will hold a nomination contest at a later date.

“I'm here today because too many voices in Vancouver are being silenced — families, renters, homeowners, small businesses, people who love the city but feel city hall no longer hears them,” Bligh said.

“Instead, they see drama. They see spin and political games, and what we need is leadership that listens and delivers. And that's why our campaign is built on three things Vancouver needs most: service, vision and trust.”

Her entry into the mayoral race is not a big surprise considering she has been hinting at a run to media, including to BIV in June.

What is a surprise is how quickly she, Mayor Ken Sim and Kareem Allam have gone their separate ways, considering all three were integral to ABC Vancouver’s landslide victory in 2022.

Sim has told BIV he will seek re-election and Allam has announced his candidacy with the Vancouver Liberals. Sim and Allam, who served as Sim’s chief of staff and ran ABC’s election campaign, are currently embroiled in a legal fight.

Bligh was expelled from ABC Vancouver in February.

...

whitev70r 09-23-2025 07:31 AM

^ overall, is she a good candidate, would she make a good mayor? Don't know much about her record and her particular views.
