So cheers is what I use a lot in writing and once in a while if I'm talking to an Aussie, Brit, or Kiwi. |
I started saying "say hoy, lah!" after I met Badhobz. It has costed me some serious opportunities. I would suggest saying something like "Ciao" or "Cheers" instead. |
i say everywhere i go. they should have never taught me cantonese. i went to supermarket 200000000000 today in richmond and told this ah mo to say hoy after she was blocking me from getting daikon. she looked at me like WHAT THE FUCK!?!!? but promptly moved. |
We use "cheers" all the time as a farewell in an email, or meeting, it feels like a more informal/friendly version of goodbye. 68 has a great energy, no wonder by lady went straight to him :lol |

She’s gonna have way more time for her kids home schooling now so why’s she mad? |
LOL she lost a year of free pay because she couldn't just NOT post something racist. I mean even if the bodies thing ended up being a fallacy it doesn't mean kids weren't abused and treated horribly ffs. Did she think she was doing a brave thing? |
In before Tylenol gives her retarded children |
So this woman is the Cons' communication officer, and she is still dumb enough to spew this kind of hateful BS in public social media?! If she had an iota of political climate awareness, she would have known better and kept her mouth shut even if she believed in the BS that she wrote. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes -- aka FAFO |

https://www.ctvnews.ca/toronto/artic...duced-by-half/ Hospital finds big chunk of their ER visits were by a small number of people - some homeless - so they build a 4 story apartment building for those patients to live in that has access to doctors, nurses and food allowing these people to get back on their feet AND dramatically reduce their need to use the ER. |
That’s great to hear stories like that and it’s been proven to be an effective strategy. Needs to be scaled up substantially. I’ll try and find the article about a similar living setup they have in Kelowna that was privately funded by a wealthy individual, that had similar successful stories coming from it. It brings the rehabilitation aspect we are missing in the prison system through small doses of personal responsibility with the opportunity to improve oneself. |
