Tierney only got a 2-minute minor and it doesn’t look like he’ll even get a phone call for the hit. |

Well that was fast for Boeser to be injured. I know it's not his fault but still, when will we start to wonder if he's injury proned. I sure hope it's just to be on the safe side and not play him for the rest of the preseason

Horvat is probably the most likely guy to drop the gloves, but Tierney was one of his groomsmen at his wedding.

Toronto Maple Leafs star is facing a disorderly conduct charge in relation to an alleged May incident in his hometown of Scottsdale, Ariz.
The odds-on favourite to be named the next Maple Leafs’ captain and a group of friends allegedly attempted to open the vehicle door of a female security guard around 2 o’clock in the morning on May 26.
Upon being confronted by the female security guard, Matthews then allegedly “pulled his pants down, bent over and grabbed his butt cheeks” as he was walking away, according to a police report.
The complainant said Matthews was wearing underwear at the time. A police officer later observed building surveillance video which showed a man $– confirmed by a building manager to be Matthews – walking toward the elevator with his pants “at his ankle.”

Gotta love Toronto media: Quote:
We’ve been waiting for him to be named captain of the Leafs for a while now, because he’s the team’s best player, its highest-paid star, and probably the best goal scorer in hockey.
| Matthews’ trophy case is just bursting with Maurice Richard trophies ... oh, wait, he finished 17th in goal scoring in each of the past two seasons ...

Was at the game tonight. Gaudette looked great, really earning his spot on the team. Hughes can really move, both his feet and the puck. His hockey IQ is fantastic and didn't look out of place at all. Baertschi was also noticeable, hope he can have a relatively injury free season. Also liked MacEwen but he'll most likely be sent down. Brisebois wasn't bad either but he'll most likely be sent down as well.
Virtanen and Goldobin pretty invisible, disappointing to see that there was no hustle to be seen from either of them. We've seen flashes of skill from both of them but those are useless if you aren't gonna put the effort in.

If they both get sent down, my guess is someone will take a chance on Virtanen and Goldy will get buried in the AHL. Such wasted talent. Better off trading them both for prospects/picks

There's maybe one or two roster spots available. I don't think Gaudette playing on the 3/4th line would do him any good.
Boeser - Elias - Ferland
Pearson - Horvat - Miller
Leivo- Sutter - Loui
Winger - Beagle - Motte
Still got Baer, Virtanen, Goldy, Gaudette, Schaller and Roussell when he's healthy.
