Holy fuck this. My office is downtown but with WFH, I haven't been downtown in the DTES for a while now.

We were driving to Elisa for dinner last night and passed through, I can't believe how bad it's gotten, never seen it like this.

Garbage everywhere, bikes, the street was littered with people.

Wife works at Pender and Richards and in their building they have had squatters come in and occupy floors without tenants. They go into the office 2 days a week now and there is constantly police having to clear our people camped out in the front of businesses etc trying to open and they won’t move

I thought it was just me noticing but it clearly is getting worse and worse.
Just yesterday morning we had to yell and kick 2 crackheads camping out in our patio. They had 2 dogs that left poo on the floor and dug up some planters along with their garbage, bottles and burnt plastic. What a fucking pain in the ass to clean up. I thought about calling police but they would probably take 3 hours to get here and we needed to open our doors for business within the hour.

I regularly shop at Asian supermarkets here in Toronto. Masks are now mandatory indoors and there were signs posted at the place I was at last night. As I was checking out in the line, I noticed a couple were shopping without masks while everyone else had one on. No one seemed to have denied them entry or talked to them about it. The signs were in English as well.

Not to be racist or anything but I do predominantly see none Asians out and about with no mask on. Often times they are old too and strut around as if nothing is happening and don't social distance and huddle together

ahh ive only really been to the t&t in coquitlam centre recently (since these phases occurred anyway) and they still have someone monitoring the entrance, just assumed they were all still like that

The T&T at Renfrew and 1st Ave has a sign posted outside the entrance stating that you require a mask to enter or you need to purchase one.

Mask are now mandatory anywhere indoors in Toronto and Ottawa.
