This hopefully will stop you from getting the disease when the virus enters your body. The one talked about in the article combines genetic material from covid19 spike proteins with a chimpanzee common cold virus to deliver it.

The key is, how effective does it need to be to stop the pandemic? How many people need to actually be vaccinated? How often? At what cost? And how soon can this happen?

It will be nothing short of amazing if the vaccine ends up being safe, and enough people are able to get it to stop covid in its tracks, within say 2 years from now.

Until then, get used to wearing masks.

To add to this, while I begrudgingly accept most of these as a possibility as nothing seems to be impossible. , I feel for people with mental illness or prone to stress heh

I’m about as neutral as they come a true Fin never too high or too low and I’ve had a relatively stressful time during covid working right through majorly exposed to the general population and while I mostly live with it and my headspace is almost the same as pre-covid I’ve had tinges of stress (perhaps edibles induced) over the pandemic. But I couldn’t imagine if you have OCD etc. :heckno:

Over the weekend I saw a family all wearing masks but then the child proceeded to pull his mask down to sneeze then covered his mouth again:rukidding:

The first time I had to sneeze in a mask my brain was like "let it out you fool!" but I forced myself to let it rip

Since then, I carry a spare mask with me at all times WutFace

Just got back from the local grocery store and once again there's hardly any fresh meat of vegetables, and once again all the toilet paper is gone

If this is any indication of what happened last time (it happened here first, then you guys had it happen) make sure you have some TP... If BC goes into lockdown again, I think the same thing will happen.

A guy in Ontario refused to wear a mask in a grocery store, assaulted staff who offered him one, drove into cars while fleeing the scene, got chased by cops, barricaded himself at home, then was shot dead in a standoff with police.

WEAR A FUCKING MASK

Frances said workers shouldn't have to enforce the mandatory mask policy issued by the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit. The policy, "Use of Non-Medical Masks in Commercial Establishments," took effect on 12:01 am on Monday.

It's causing chaos, she said.

"If we didn't have to force him and ... tell him that he couldn't come into the store, nothing would have happened, really. He would have got his groceries and went along with his day."

Lynda Easton, manager of the Valu-Mart in Minden, began to cry when asked about the incident on Wednesday.

"I want to congratulate my staff for how they handled the situation. It was very challenging today. They are the heroes. I don't want to get emotional. They deserve the credit. That's all I want to say," Easton said.
Umm wut :lol

During the interview Gidley also noted that “Donald Trump has made [the U.S.] both feared, respected and loved across the globe like it never has been before.”

Well he’s kind of right. This is probably the first time I can remember that there is absolutely no respect or love for the country across the entire globe, and I’m sure everyone is afraid they will get covid from them.

From a few days ago but a crew of fisherman in argentina contracted corona after 35days at sea

They're trying to figure out how, they tested negative before setting out, and symptoms didn't show until a month into their voyage

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...-days-sea.html

underscore 07-17-2020 06:25 PM

Wouldn't an asymptomatic carrier + false negative test be enough to do that?

vitaminG 07-17-2020 06:51 PM

^ which is pretty much how the virus started spreading in the first place, so I dunno what the mystery is

spoon.ek9 07-17-2020 07:20 PM

I like the "god loves me so I don't need a mask" defense. Ya, ok. And also that somehow wearing a mask means you're going to hell :lol

All the other excuses we've heard already.
