It's crazy that this outbreak came out of nowhere, as everyone (except drunk expats) was wearing masks all the time. Though things definitely got more crowded and people got more comfortable, they were still wearing masks. I still wore my mask all the time going out.

Look to places of protests and you'll see the "real" footage of what's happening and not what's being filtered by the news and media.
