Just making conversation. No ill intent

Not sure what value there would be in this hypothetical... At that point, I don't think the name would matter, as they would be busy trying to figure out why it would only attack those of a specific ethnicity. Biological terrorism would be on everyone's mind

I’m not a geneticist, but I’d be curious to know if there is enough difference in human DNA between races to reliably infect one group and not cross to the others. If that was possible, fuck thats a scary thought.

winson604 02-12-2020 12:55 PM

I i don't think that was ever a question...

Rallydrv 02-12-2020 03:04 PM

really think this wont be easy fix, as its so easy to jump from person to person. also wonder if somebody gets the virus, gets better, can they get it again or antibodies within develop. hope vaccine comes out soon but prob a year + away.

SkinnyPupp 02-12-2020 03:19 PM

They've been making 90,000 masks a day for over a week now

There's no sign of these masks showing up in public. No public program for poor people, insufficient masks for hospital workers... Even clinics have to close because the doctors don't have enough masks.

Joshua Wong brought in 100K masks from the US to give away and sell for below cost. Pro govt people criticized him for not getting more. FailFish Other pro govt people are saying they should do another $10K giveaway, so people can afford to buy these masks that are out there for 10X the price FailFish

Where are these masks going?

They changed the way of stats is tallied from diagnosis through actual testing to signs of showing symptoms. This gives a more accurate picture of actual infected vs before, which is an improvement on transparency (as far as I understand the situation)

Buddy of mine is on a layover in Shanghai right now, it's like soft martial law there he can't even find food... no stores or restaurants open... need to take a card and get it stamped if you leave the hotel, allowed to leave once per day. He sent me all these pictures over wechat of the Bund almost totally empty in the middle of the day, hardly a single person in sight.

It's a lot crazier than they're letting on I think..........
