I’m not a geneticist, but I’d be curious to know if there is enough difference in human DNA between races to reliably infect one group and not cross to the others. If that was possible, fuck thats a scary thought. |
Nope Theyve tried |

Not going to get this intense, but this television series was one of my favourites back then........... https://www.rottentomatoes.com/tv/the-last-ship As skinny once said, "It's for people who like, GI Joe." |
I guess this answers the question if only chinese can be infected |
It's ok I think I just saw on the news that Trump stated with the heat coming the virus is going away. We're saved! |

really think this wont be easy fix, as its so easy to jump from person to person. also wonder if somebody gets the virus, gets better, can they get it again or antibodies within develop. hope vaccine comes out soon but prob a year + away. |
They've been making 90,000 masks a day for over a week now There's no sign of these masks showing up in public. No public program for poor people, insufficient masks for hospital workers... Even clinics have to close because the doctors don't have enough masks. Joshua Wong brought in 100K masks from the US to give away and sell for below cost. Pro govt people criticized him for not getting more. FailFish Other pro govt people are saying they should do another $10K giveaway, so people can afford to buy these masks that are out there for 10X the price FailFish Where are these masks going? |

spring break's only a month out now and the cases are seriously flaring up...this outbreak is showing no signs of containment in the region might table east asia trip...which seemed like a ridiculous idea just weeks ago but for non-essential travel it's looking more like mitigation is the way to go American Airlines pushing HK/China flights out by TEN weeks https://www.washingtonpost.com/trans...through-april/ |
HK School closure extended another month Rugby Sevens postponed indefinitely |
https://nationalpost.com/news/kim-jo...antine-reports HK govnt should learn from North Korea (best Korea) WutFace |
First patient dies in Japan. That's 3 deaths outside China, 1483 within. 2.29% death rate (SARS was 6.6% in China. Flu is about 0.1%) |
a doctor and a young guy in japan infected with NO travel history/contact with Chinese nationals damn. that could easily be vancouver. |
possible bird transmission?... lets say they stepped on some bird droppings with there shoes, came home, touched the shoe taking it off and bam...started eatting without washing hands and sick |
Buddy of mine is on a layover in Shanghai right now, it's like soft martial law there he can't even find food... no stores or restaurants open... need to take a card and get it stamped if you leave the hotel, allowed to leave once per day. He sent me all these pictures over wechat of the Bund almost totally empty in the middle of the day, hardly a single person in sight. It's a lot crazier than they're letting on I think.......... |
