yep - fucked the restaurants again did you guys get ANY heads up this time? I'm hearing no. |
From what my mom implied, no heads up. She's a manager at a restaurant. She messaged me and called me while I was picking up my McD takeout. She would have called me earlier if they knew. Screwing with restaurants again, whereas some other businesses get a pass. |
WTF, closing indoor dining again?!?! April 19th? Holy fuck, that's crazy. |

BC Government with another game of wack a mole B.C. implements sweeping restrictions on indoor dining, group fitness for 3-week 'circuit breaker' |
2518 new cases from the past weekend. 6 deaths. No indoor dining establishments or restaurants can be operating for 3 weeks. This is truly the BC gov't flipping the bird at the restaurants - AGAIN! Westopher, I am really interested to hear your thoughts about this announcement. Honestly, I don't think this is the right strategy to flatten the Covid curve and reduce variants. What about Dr. Bonnie and Horgan calling TURD , every day to ask for more vaccine? We need Pfizer and Moderna shipments to come to BC much faster! C'mon TURD, step it up! :mad: |

Also, are the federal wage and rent subsidies still in place? |
show us the data that restaurants are the trouble spots Fucking bullshit...time to resign? |
I'd say the problem is -- with the exception of specific outbreaks, nobody really knows where the trouble spots are. But despite the lack of obvious "trouble spots", caseloads keep on going up. So if you're in the position to determine public health orders, what do you do? I look at Dr. BH and Dix being stuck in an on-going difficult spot because they are damned if they do, and damned if they don't. Without any qualified medical knowledge, the only way I see us (or the World, for that matter) getting out of this is through a far more rapid vaccination program, including new formulations that are effective against the new known variants. But at this point, we are just so far way from that... FailFish |
1 step forward 1 back, the govt. motto |
How are you closing restaurants yet grocery stores are packed like it’s xmas eve looking for the last turbo doll. Pathetic. Utterly pathetic |
coronavirus discussion -just told a buddy that his plans to go with his gf for dim sum lunch inside a restaurant are not gonna happen. LUL Uber eats for that dim sum lunch outdoors. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Half ass approach. My friend got covid from his crossfit class. Bunch of heavy breathing sweaty mofos. Yet we're only targeting indoor dining. Also all the old people who are most likely to die have gotten their shots already. In the next couple months everyone will get theirs too. At this point just let this virus run its course and stop these nazi rules. |

Comparing a half-ass government mandated closing of certain industries to "nazi rules" is fucking stupid. 6 million Jewish people killed during the Holocaust of "nazi rule" is definitely comparable to what the BC Government has issued today. |

While it's definitely unfortunate that indoor dining is shut again, going to play devil's advocate and say that a large part of that is self inflicted. How many people know of someone or have seen people or are someone that didn't dine with their immediate household? How many parties and large gatherings have we seen at restaurants despite the rules in place? Give a foot take a mile. And now we all get our toys taken away. I'm surprised we didn't hit 3000 over the weekend. I predict it's going to continue to go up next few days because of lag time...And of course people be screaming "see, closing restaurants 2 days ago didnt do anything! Nazis!" |
I saw over the weekend on social media a baby shower with over 20 in attendance. I'm sure we know nobody is really adhering to any guidelines. It's just a business closure. |
Almost 1000 daily cases and people are just going about like their daily business unmasked in indoor spaces thinking it's safe. Maybe the restaurant closures are unfair - they probably are to most who are involved, but hopefully this sends the message to people to stop fucking around. We only need 2 to 3 months before we all get a vaccine, just hold yer horses. |
0 covid deaths in London 1-day, for the first time in 6 months. In January they were at 500 deaths a day. SeemsGood They have similar rules to BC - outdoor gatherings have just been opened, up to 6 people in 2 households. Restaurants still closed They plan to open outdoor seating in Restaurants in April, same limit of 6 people In May, outdoor groups up to 30, indoors up to 6 Fully open in June |
But I HaS eXempTions, I'm a special little Karen:moderated::QQ: |
