Closed the joe Rogan video after 15 seconds. Of course he spins the passport into a “people of colour/immigrant” thing when he pretty clearly couldn’t care about those groups any other time other than to spin it against vaccines etc.
Haven’t listened since he went to Spotify. Seems like a good choice

And then he started getting weird, and then the Comedy Store closed, and then he went nuts. And somehow he became a right wing weirdo right before our eyes. Spotify just added that extra barrier to make it easy to ignore.

I listen to his podcast but I'm pretty choosy on which episodes. Since he's went to spotify probably 10%, i like the comedians and when he has guys like David Choe, Jake the Snake or the undertaker on because I love the stories. I have no interest in listening to any Doctor, scientist, journalist, political activist those are not the conversations I have any interest in I want to be entertained.

I was an OG listener way back in the day, stopped listening over the last few years now.
He's clearly pivoted to a different type of audience. His personal relationships with the figureheads of the "intellectual dark web" seem to have really changed his perspective, for the bad.
You see this quite often on the internet nowadays, with certain media personalities. There's a lot of money to be made catering to that "incel", "alt-right", "red pill" audience of younger white men, and you'll see that literal pivot to cater to that demographic, especially when the initial more moderate or left leaning supporters begin to fall off.
Joe Rogan is all about $$$, don't ever let his "I'm just a dumb guy looking to learn stuff", schtick fool you.

If you guys haven't listened to Joe's anti vaxx rants lately, it's gotten really disturbing. He had Rhonda Patrick on the other day, who BTW he would take her word on EVERYTHING even when she talks about in vitro studies and rat studies. She's the first to talk about the correlation between vitamin D deficiency and covid deaths. The "IDW" took that to mean Vitamin D cures covid (and now they promote horse dewormer as the cure)
Anyway, he argued with her about vaccines, using his personal anecdotes against her collection of data of millions of people. Over and over again, trying to discredit vaccines. (longish clip, I could only tolerate the first 40 seconds)
Then you go back and listen to him talk to Mike Osterholm about vaccines:
It's amazing how corrupted he's become. I don't think he "got stupider", he just caters to the weirdos now, instead of being a platform of information where a dumb guy asks smart people questions.

My Youtube algorithm put up that Dr. Patrick video last night, I had to turn it off after a few minutes.
You're totally right Skinny.
He used to laud over that doctor when she'd come on and validate all his claims on vitamins and supplements (supplements that he sells through ONIT, conveniently enough).
Now since she's a proponent of vaccines, he's deciding to argue with her based on some anecdotal stories of myocarditis that he heard through his anti-vax nutcase friends.
The guy is gross, it's a pity that his followers think he's the gospel and eat off every word he spews.

The measures in place are so silly... I run a floor hockey at a Vancouver community centre... I had read that masks weren't required for indoor sports and I'm confident everyone in our group is vaccinated. I got an email from the community centre today advising of the following measures:
1) You must walk into the community centre with a mask on
2) You can remove your mask when running around playing
3) When you shift off and you're on the sidelines waiting for your next turn, you have to put a mask on
So...... you're in a sealed gym with 17 other guys running full out and coming into contact with them playing hockey which is always going to be contact in some way and it's okay to be maskless, but when you go off to the bench you have to put a mask on? Am I the only one that thinks that's just stupid? I mean... if they're worried just cancel it. That's not preventing shit all.
