get better | 100% from work. No one else got sick from ice racing including my wife. She was home all week and I went back to work where it’s a literal dumpster fire. Never even went shopping or anything, just work and home.
My workplace has 1000% given up and is letting it spread like wildfire

Anecdotal but my neighbour works for Canadian blood services and he said 2 of his colleagues were boosted 1-2 months ago and both are currently very sick after testing positive

Well, finally happened - became a covid statistic as part of the hospitalized crew.
Back home now but want to extend my sincere appreciation for the folks at VGH. From arriving to being wheeled to my own room with all relevant tests done, was only 45 mins.

My uncle tested negative for Covid when he was feeling tired and lethargic. Then he got more symptoms such as fever, etc. BOOM, tested positive. He is just getting over it now, but it shows that you need to get tested at the right time for it to be picked up.

When I got my rapid test they made it clear to take the test 3 days after your first symptoms

I can deal with the fever, cough, headache etc but this sore throat is just fucking my shit up. I can’t sleep at night cuz every gulp is like knives, and it’s starting to get quite inflamed. Though oddly enough doesn’t visually look inflamed (like strep/infection)

It's absolutely a cautionary tale, because there are people who think covid is no longer a big deal, and think vaccines are evil, and will go get covid on purpose to avoid getting a vaccine.
