You are sitting in a chair and you're not supposed to get up till after 15mins anyways. Depending on how long the wait is, make sure u just ate something beforehand. Maybe have a bottle of water with u. They come up to u, ask for ur carecard and paper u filled out, ask to roll up ur sleeze if u havent already done so, clean and jab. Out of all the needles ive had, this is probably the only one i didnt even feel. Maybe watch something on ur phone to keep urself pre-occupied when they do it

While they are counting down, make sure to breath. Time it so that you are beginning/mid intake from breathing.
This also prevents you from screaming.

Got it done! I was more nervous than when I was getting married lol. Requested to lay down just in case, but it was 99% painless. Definitely the most gentle shot I’ve received. And no passing out!
Will update you later when I’m a shivering blubbering mess lol

I felt her pinch my arm, more than I felt the needle. So much so, I had to check there was a needle in there. I haven't got a shot since I was a kid. My anxiety the night before was totally unwarranted.
Sat in the waiting area for 15 minutes after and was fine to work after. A bit of a headache later that evening and maybe a bit lethargic for a couple days but nothing that couldn't be overcome with Tylenol and some extra coffee.
I did get a bit of a side effect, that isn't usually mentioned - a minor case of hives the next day. Just from the crook of my arm, to the top of my hands. They were itchy, so I put some cream on them and wore long sleeves for a couple of days. All good now.

watching yourself get a vaccine is nothing. watching blood be drawn from you is another animal lol. but hey! no judgment here. glad everyone has their own way of coping with the fear.
a classmate of mine actually had no idea we would be using needles in pharmacy. her phobia was so bad that she was even afraid of mechanical pencils. good news is she passed the course despite her fears (as well as poking herself once in class  )

Getting shots is like some legit phobia for some people.
A couple months back I was in the waiting room waiting to get my blood withdrawn next. This woman behind the curtains taking her shot was all chilled at first, prep talking herself. Then after the first vial, she just started to break down saying "I can't, I can't" while the nurse was trying to console her.
She legit started crying and sobbing and the nurse finally suggested she could stop now and continue another time.
It was pretty uncomfortable that I was just on the other side of the curtain and could overhear everything.

When I was a child I had a lot of cavities. Got to the point where every visit was guaranteed 2 or 3. Absolutely traumatizing and my most hated part was the freezing. The needles hurt so bad especially near the front teeth, you could feel that thing deep up into your nostril.
Got to the point where -as a child- I would get cavities filled with zero freezing. I don’t know how the fuck I was strong enough to do that. Low blood pressure and massive stress/adrenaline spike would cause me to PTFO with a needle.
Last one I got was over a decade ago at 18? Can’t remember what it was for. I was super calm, talking to the nurse the whole time. The second it touched my arm I told her “I’m going to pass out”. She didn’t believe me until I was unresponsive for over a minute and ambulance was on it’s way lol.
So I don’t like needles but I am a big boy now. Figured just to be cautious I’ll ask to lay down and receive the shot. So far feeling great. Bummer cuz I was totally planning to call in sick tomorrow =_=

they use a micro needle now a days, at lease when i got my shot, so no bandages is needed.
first time in my life getting it..was weird af.

I don't know why that is the case, but that's how I see it LOL~
