lol, thought I was the only one that did that.
I've been waiting for a patio set from Home Depot to come back in stock since March though, no luck.

Maybe it's been discontinued.

BC government declares a provincial state of emergency because of the numerous wild fires. It's about time!

One of my friends and his wife evacuated from their house this morning in Osoyoos. The one piece of good news for my friends and other Osoyoos residents is a shift in the wind direction. Aerial firefighters are working hard to fight the fire now.

JSALES 07-20-2021 04:07 PM

I can already smell the smoke from the fires outside

whitev70r 07-20-2021 07:14 PM

yah ... me too. Where is it coming from? All the way from the Interior?

acrophobia 07-20-2021 07:56 PM

We had apocalyptic smoke yesterday afternoon, around 5:30 pm it was basically night time dark outside and raining ash quite feverishly. Read an article online this morning that the smoke was not from local fires but from Wenatchee.

This is the site I visit to see air quality not only in the lower mainland but further out if there are forest fires. Doesn't seem like it's that bad right now. Last year during forest fire season, the entire west coast was red and it was terrible.

Are people really that self-absorbed that they think anyone else gives a shit about what the gender of their unborn child is going to be?

Maybe the grandparents would like to know, but that's about it.

nismodrifter 07-23-2021 08:47 AM

pics coming through on social media of fire at Area 27's edge. Yikes.

It’s fucking wild how many people have actually died at their own gender reveal parties. Imagine the way these narcissists will parent their children.

Oh please, anyone and everyone that has an instagram, snapchat, or tiktok will do anything for some likes

Hondaracer 07-23-2021 10:39 AM

Young Johnny ain’t pulling the likes he once did, time to try for another degenerate

Must be so disappointing for the IG generation to have an ugly child

For that Area27 pic, is the person associated with the track? That would be my default assumption based on the amount of detail that he seems to know about the situation.

But I thought Oliver is under evacuation order, so even if he was associated with the track, I would have expected him to have to evacuate.

I mean, I like when people acknowledge my shit on social media, but I’ve never set a fuckin forest on fire for it.
Worst thing I’ve ever done is park in a no parking zone.

No idea. It was sent to me by someone not affiliated with the track.

Six weeks at least without any decent amount of rainfall in the Lower Mainland and probably nothing for at least another two. I keep seeing forecasts of possible rain, but they turn out to be zero the next day.

Born and raised here. This is supposed to be a temperate rainforest. The positive, and I always look for that silver lining, is not too many mosquitos.

mikemhg 07-26-2021 01:05 PM

^I wish that was true.

Just came back from the cabin on Lillooet Lake.

Strawberry Point had the worst mosquitoes I've seen in 15+ years going out to the cabin.

The rapid heatwave created a massive glacier melt that has essentially flooded the lake. Water level is extremely high with stagnant water, this created the worst mosquito apocalypse I've ever seen there.

It was fucked, literal clouds of those fuckers. We could only hit the lake twice in the whole week there, each time was a bum rush from the banks on floaties into the middle of the lake to escape them.

My ass cheeks look like I caught some type of STD, shit was stressful.

If this is the future of climate change with the combination of early fire bans, camping/cabin life is going to be shit going forward.

320icar 07-26-2021 01:32 PM

I was about to say, even through the heatwave my backyard in Ladner (even with its bone dry dead grass) just walking to pick up the dogs poop gives me a fight for my life with mossies.

they've been saying for 15+ years we're going to be the new San Diego

Hondaracer 07-26-2021 02:43 PM

Just set the forests ablaze now so we can enjoy the future years without smoke

westopher 07-26-2021 04:49 PM

Just rake them.
