Linden probably shouting at the TV saying I told you so. Cant rush building a team, but management wanted a fast turn around.

spoon.ek9 11-14-2021 06:15 PM

boring af to watch this. is it normal for teams to go 7-12 mins between shots on the regular like this? :lol

RiceIntegraRS 11-14-2021 06:19 PM

Alright lets bring back Mike Gillis

spoon.ek9 11-14-2021 06:28 PM

3 games, 18 goals allowed.

spoke too soon, 19 goals.

I hope that Aquaman is calling/texting Benning during the game now.

-good to see Aquaman watch how bad his team is playing now.

A dumpster on fire.

Aquaman “Do something Jim, or I will make
the next move.” :lawl:

Canucks so good

6thGear. 11-14-2021 06:37 PM

At least it's not 7 goals.....

whitev70r 11-14-2021 06:46 PM

At least Canucks scored first ... unfortunately, the other team scored the next 5.

So ... anything happen after these 2 losses? Who's available? Is Tortorella still under salary with Canucks? Or bring Luongo back as GM, he is still on payroll, right? Might as well make him work.

spoon.ek9 11-14-2021 06:52 PM

they said during intermission aqualini actually stayed behind in vegas

He wanted to stay in Vegas and actually enjoy the rest of his weekend.

I still want Gillis to come back as GM, only knock on him was drafting. As for head coach? im not sure theres a couple of good coaches with pretty good pedigrees out there.

6thGear. 11-14-2021 07:14 PM

Dan Bylsma?

RiceIntegraRS 11-14-2021 07:27 PM

Bylsma, Boudreau, Julien, Torts. Boudreau is the most intriguing one to me, he has the 2nd highest winning percentage among all coaches. Hes actually led his team to multiple division titles and a presidents trophy.

whitev70r 11-14-2021 07:29 PM

^ Bylsma ...can't tell if you're being serious ..but you can't be, right?

eclipseman 11-14-2021 07:30 PM

If there's any silver lining to this, at least we can tank for Shane Wright.

BlackV62K2 11-14-2021 07:38 PM

Canucks don't even know how to tank properly. They'll win enough games to screw themselves a good draft position and miss the playoffs at the same time.

im semi serious. Green and the coaching staff has totally fucked up this team to the point we dont even know what kind of team we got. Are we truly this terrible or was it the coaching staff this whole time? Or is it both.

6thGear. 11-14-2021 08:06 PM

Julien only had success with the Bruins. Torts is out to lunch with his old school yelling ways, imagine he's yelling at Pete Boes Miller, Boudreau hasn't won anything. The only one considerable is Bylsma but is he that good he was able to turn the Pens into another championship team or just rode the coat tails of Sid and Malkin? Honestly slim pickings out there

I agree. What identity has this coaching staff created for this Canucks team?

I know one thing for sure. This team’s identity is not based on special teams power and team defence. :lawl:

If someone asked you about the identity of
the Edmonton Oilers or Minnesota Wild, you might answer a “run and gun” offensive minded team with speed for the Oilers.

For Minnesota, you could say a defense first mentality for that team’s identity.

What about the Canucks?

Green wants his team to be a hardworking team, thats hard to play against, that is really strong on the puck. Basically he likes guys with high end motors that cant put the puck in the net. Our special teams have been a disaster this season, especially the penalty kill. I truly believe our defensive structure/system is a complete joke. Last year i believe we gave up the most breakaways in the league(heard the announcer mention this) and this season we give up soo many odd man rushes i wouldnt be surprised if were first in that too. It doesnt help that we dont put our players in a position to succeed. Boeser one of the best shooters on the team........ lets put him in front of the net on the PP...... I believe Green has lost the room already, and his speeches are terrible. Doesnt motivate me hearing it.

highfive 11-14-2021 09:08 PM

Man… if the Canucks keep losing, there’s so many negativity out there 1040 might back on to the radio lol.

Tim Budong 11-14-2021 09:22 PM

Its either fire green and JB chants at the next home game. Honestly how can anyone enjoy going to games to see this half assed effort on the ice.

or JB and Green are fired tomorrow morning.

teggy604 11-14-2021 09:38 PM

Why chant fire JB and Green at the next home game. If fans want to deliver a strong msg just dont show up to any home games. Its not like canucks have been showing up for the fans.

lol, if Torts came back, he'll run out of players to bench.

At least all of those guys are established NHL coaches. Slim pickings, but anything is an upgrade at this point.

Maybe season tickets owners ... tickets already bought, etc. Hard if you spent like $250 to walk away from that.

Maybe we should give Alex Burrows a try along with Kevin Bieska (good analysis). Burrows apparently is doing well in Montreal as assistant. And put Luongo as GM ... hell, isn't he still on Canucks payroll ... haha.
