 Thomas Drance @ThomasDrance Some confusion setting up a drill at #Canucks practice, as Travis Green discussed it at length with Boeser. Appears to be a straightforward 2-on-0 drill, but the wrong mix of players was in various ends. J.T. Miller could be heard yelling, “We don’t know what we’re doing!” |
I wonder if Petey went and got covid when he was off with an injury... Since he wasn't on the team when they had their outbreak, it wouldn't have been announced. Could explain why some other players don't have full energy as well... It seems to be random who comes back to 100% and who doesn't. |

Hire Julien as head coach ===== Plan the parade:alone: |
Not many options on the market for management and coaches. But they need to move on from the current regime and get some interm people there to finish the season. Absolute last thing they should be doing is allowing benning to be making any trades/moves. Survive the season, get a high 1st round pick and reset the house this off season. The way they’re playing now, they need to get some prospects. Scary that the prospect Cupboards are near empty and the quality on the ice in the NHL is this bad. |
^But to think a high 1st young prospect is going to fix this team, we have bigger issues than that. Main issue is the players and how they're performing. If we split it into groups of under perform / on par / over performing, where are most of the guys fall into? the only person I feel is over performing is hoglander. on par guys are OEL, Garland, Demko, Miller (at times, he does do a lot of stupid plays). underperformers ....man...all our main stars on here too. |

Please no recycling of old regime coaches or GM's ... |
That’s the NHL yo… just move coaches and GM’s from team to team… very definition of an old boys club |

Even the first overall pick (unless they are a generational talent) won’t do much to change the direction of this club until the culture gets fixed. I think someone said this before me, but we are basically the Edmonton oilers when they had hall eberle and RNH. The GM made the mistake of turning the team over to these guys too early, and they didn’t have a strong veteran leadership group to instil the right culture. |

Matt Sekeres is an idiot, I’d never write an article on anything he says |
He’s really been grasping lately trying to stay relevant in the media Last week he basically took what Friedman had said in his pod cast and just twisted it into his own “hot scoop” guy is a clown. |

Sekeres the same guy who said Hughes was on iv? Lol Honestly. The media in this town is like the old boys club too. You have people linking from the old 1040, Canucks army, and province now all ganging up the fear and shit. Back when green and Ian Clark not getting sign. Everyone is like gotta sign him! Demko supports him. The team etc!!! Sign the guy or you going to lose the team. Petey and Quinn. Rick dahliwal. You have to pay him. Guy scores. Look at this points stats. Blah blah blah…. Look at the contract now. |
Well, nobody would have been able to predict Petey would look this bad at this point in the season, can you imagine the uproar that would have happened if he hadn't signed him? Can't really use that as an example of media push. Hughes isn't far behind... who knew how much of his succeuss was attributed to Tanev? Or maybe teams just figured him out. I don't know what the deal is. Neither of them take over games like they used to. |
As much as their are issues in scoring and Petterson, Boeser and Horvat aren't playing to their potential - I think the biggest issues are coaching and defense. The goals will come as the forwards get out of their ruts and confidence returns. The coaching system is abysmal, the coach is supposed to rally the players and have them working to their best potential. Nobody seems to be working for each other on the ice Plus with all the rumors of a fractured dressing room, that also comes down to the coach. Look what happened when the Whitecaps canned Dos Santos mid-season, Sartini completely changed the way the players played on the field and how they stood up for each other game in and game out. It doesn't always come down to talent, but the work ethic and effort the players put in every game. How many teams have we seen over the years that don't have the most skill, but are still very difficult to beat? The team looks lazy as fuck right now and completely disinterested. The Canucks have $26 million tied to their D right now. Watching the Chicago game in person - even though the Canucks outshot the Hawks, I would say they had less strong scoring chances than Chicago. Pittsburgh? So many odd man rushes and being out of position! I looked at some of the top teams in the NHL and what they are spending on D. Tampa Bay $26 million, Calgary $22.7, Carolina $21.3! The Canucks are outspending most teams on defense and have one of the worst backlines in the league. I was SHOCKED when I looked into this. This completely falls on Benning and his horrible cap management. So in summary, clean house. Fire Benning and Green and start fresh from this disaster. |

Maybe the easier rationale is that simply these players aren't as good as we thought they were? |

And now this bo vs miller thing? watch we're going to see a video of them two walking in holding each other like Mitchell and Kesler back then! |
Amidst all the other articles and listening to Donnie & dhaliwal podcasts the other rumor is all the vets aren't happy with the younger guys. Whether Bo is the vet or younger guys?? on another note Gaudette placed on waivers https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/form...ers-blackhawks |
