I had my first blow job in my dads caravan. Eruhh sorry Plymouth voyager SE.
good times

68style 10-18-2022 10:40 PM

… your dad wasn’t in the van at the time was he?

Badhobz 10-18-2022 11:07 PM

No, but I think he knew I took that thing to go do hanky Panky shit. I recall one day he came home with some interior detailing spray. I was like dad what’s that for. He’s like for you… to spray the van.

In hindsight those ratfur cloth seats are quite nasty and I wouldn’t wanna be the second owner after what I did on them.

Note to self: don't buy badhobz LC Corolla

Golf R acquired. Just what I wanted. 2018 Spektrum program. Violet Touch Pearl. 31k kms. Lease return and very clean. Clarkdale was willing to deal where Cap VW wouldn't budge.

Nice!!!! And beautiful color too. This trollface’s trollface so hard his trollface is probably spinning backwards

bcuzracecarz 10-23-2022 07:24 PM

Unreal pickup, that is one of the better spektrum colours they had available. Love it

I was looking at that. Mind if I ask how much you ended up paying?

That was basically my dream spec, but it was too much money.

Badhobz 10-24-2022 08:49 AM

^waddya mean too much money. you should have just pulled the trigger. nothing cheap nowadays and you shouldn't hold out if you want something.

trollface 10-24-2022 08:52 AM

I can tell you're not a young adult trying to buy a home in Van without any help just from that sentence.

People like us can't afford shit, let alone a 50k used car lol.

Badhobz 10-24-2022 09:18 AM

50k?!!?!? holy shit. thats GR ratrolla money.

trollface 10-24-2022 09:24 AM

I mean, they're asking 44k. Even if you get it down to 42, you're staring at 47k + BS feels.

It's not exactly cheap for a 4 year old out of warranty VW. That's touching new car money.

Badhobz 10-24-2022 09:28 AM

isnt that basically the price of a new one? you should just throw down a deposit on a new one.

whitev70r 10-24-2022 09:29 AM

FYI, here is what appears to be original CL posting ... very unique Spektrum color! I think he means $50K OTD ... $44K with all the BS taxes and fees.

Yes, that's why I'm wondering what they actually sold it for. I'm guessing 42.

Very jelly, but too rich for my blood.

whitev70r 10-24-2022 09:37 AM

Just went to VW Canada for fun ... and just choosing the DSG, no other option (no sunroof), Lapiz blue, no free maintenance package, price comes to $56K (taxes on that). So assuming $42-43K ... it's not exactly close to brand new.

tofu1413 10-24-2022 09:42 AM

mmm

midnight purple.

68style 10-24-2022 09:42 AM

I've seen a chili red pearl spektrum driving around Richmond a couple of times... I am not normally into red cars but I loved the way it looked... wonder if they will ever sell that, I tried to catch up to them last time to chat but I don't even know if it's a guy or girl driving it, never got close enough haha

It's this colour:

The wheels that are on the purple one are my favourite wheels too!! I don't like the ones that are on the picture I just posted

trollface 10-24-2022 09:44 AM

A new one is about $55,00 out the door, 42 + tax and doc fee you're at $47,500 - 48k

7.5k difference arguably gets you the better "performance" car with new everything + a fresh warranty. You're not too far off. A set of new tires sets you back 1k right off the top. Now the margin is getting even slimmer. We're looking at less than 2k in depreciation a year on that price. Pre-covid (I know I know, we're not pre-covid), that thing would have sold for 37.

VERY jelly, but it was a hard one for me to wrap my head around.

Perhaps he can sell it to me one day. Would love to know what it sold for so I can sleep tonight.

How did you get $55K OTD ... disregard the build price on website? For sure, if you can get a brand new at that price point, then the difference is worth it but then the unique color is/was an $5K option.

68style 10-24-2022 09:47 AM

I wouldn't worry about the warranty... after 4 years who cares anymore... if anything is gonna break on these cars or it's a total friday build, it broke in the first year or had a tonne of work done that first year... after that it's just like squeaky clutch pedal or a rattle somewhere.

I haven't owned a car with a warranty for almost 20 years... my life hasn't been ruined by anything.

I will disclaimer that I have only owned 1 european car though hahaha

Traum 10-24-2022 09:50 AM

Big question is -- are dealerships willing to sell you the car at MSRP without tacking on BS stuff? And then on top of that, how long are you gonna need to wait for the new car?

trollface 10-24-2022 09:54 AM

There are 2 dealers around here that will sell at MSRP, and yes the wait is obvs the thing that's driving prices up.

The website spits out 55.182 for me? I believe the color was a 3k option.

The new one appears to come out of the factory with is equivalent to the Stage 1 you can slap on these 7.5R's. Maybe I've just seen too much Z4 carnage to stomach a modded out of warranty euro.

Your build cost
$47,395
Sales Tax
$5,912
Total price
$55,182
