^just buy it bro. recession is here, war might be coming soon, weather is totally ass fucked, you work yourself to death anyways so might as well enjoy some reward.

dont wait... life's too damn short.

trollface 10-03-2022 10:32 AM

With these prices, I'm better off buying a new one with a warranty.

Badhobz 10-03-2022 10:38 AM

of course. do it!!!!!!!!!

go to the VW dealer, be serious, put down a deposit and you'll get it. Money talks.

trollface 10-03-2022 10:52 AM

My gut says wait till next year to see what happens to the world, and by that I mean options...I've never seen so many new cars come with different tires.

Half the new R's I saw had Hancooks and the others had Contis. There is some funky supply issues going on and I really don't want to be spend that kind of money on a weird Covid car.

Badhobz 10-03-2022 10:57 AM

tires!? thats stopping you!?!?!?

stop making excuses for yourself and just buy the fucking thing already. you'll burn those tires off in a year or two anyways.

trollface 10-03-2022 11:53 AM

It's more of a quality thing. It seems like they're building cars with whatever they can find at the scrap yard right now.

I can help with wearing tires down. Just need a couple minutes.

all new cars are like that. built to a price point instead of a standard. If you want something that's not like that you gotta go bentley or above. *see crappy aston martin interior built w/ left over mercedes infotainment and plastic touch buttons*

tofu1413 10-03-2022 02:17 PM

its around 2 Grand for a set of Pilot 4S. You can even sell the take offs for $800-$1k if you really wanted to.

the R should be about 60k after tax... whats 2-3% of the value of the car on a set of tires.

dark0821 10-03-2022 02:34 PM

^ I know I know.... I am trying to do buy-ins for the R loool hahaha

trollface 10-03-2022 02:57 PM

Naw man, I'm saying cars right now seem to be coming with missing options etc. I'd hate to buy a new one and then they introduce a bunch of options once covid is "over".

It's not just tires, it's an example of cars coming with random ass parts and options.

Jacky what’s the wait time on the iionic 5 ? Still a couple of years ?

I like the loungey thigh cushion for the driver but I’m not sure if the passenger gets that option as well.

donk. 10-03-2022 03:09 PM

Just wait until parts are available, and they still slap cars together with whatever available, to maximize profits :drunk:

Not to mention more labour shortages, resulting in even worse build quality

Lol even if you show up with a bank draft, I can't even put you on the wait list.

But for those lucky few who are on the list, yes, about 12 to 18 month wait =)

I guess this made up for waiting an hour in the peasant lane. These pictures are the perks of bringing your own photographer to the track day LOL. I didn't have a great track day, but these pics of me and my friend having fun make up for it - feat. Skunkworks

Wow, I had no idea it was that bad... no wonder you pulled the engine so long ago lol...

bcrdukes 10-11-2022 02:47 PM

I think as a kind gesture to a fellow track enthusiast, best to blur out or remove their license plate before posting photos, especially if Ontario plates because insurance companies are not always the friendliest when it comes to umm..."Drivers Education Programs." :D
