Demko might have just bailed them out |
4 unanswered goals ffs lol |
The Official 2022/2023 Canucks & NHL Thread The consequences of Allvin not being able to bolster our defensive depth are showing up now. Too many odd man rushes given up to the Coilers in this game. Coilers PP out scored our team’s PP too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Hockey God with the hatty... Coilers still good |
well fuck. game was over as soon as they got that 4th. i knew it. |
Team collapsed after Hughes got hurt. OEL was out of synch taking his place on PP1. Then even when Hughes came back, he wasn't himself. |

Canucks had many chances and so many PP. |
Honestly, we have no defensive depth when either Hughes or Meyers are not playing. OEL is past his prime. Thank you Dim Jim for giving the team a leaky defence. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
I suddenly miss Newell Brown as the PP coach and the drop passes.... |
Who is the projected #1 draft in 2023? |

Good .. let's try for the Hometown kid. |
ONE GAME in and we're talking about tanking EleGiggle |
Chicago has gone way out of their way to make sure they’re the fuckin tank commanders this season |
wow we've only played one game and canucks fans are jumping ship. |
It was a pretty terrible loss being up 3-0 and then let McDavid walk around the D 3 times |
So what is the report card now on the Eriksson OEL trade? Eriksson would have been finally off the books (I think) ... but Canucks now have OEL at $7.2M till 2027? Is Eriksson playing anywhere? What if Canucks would have just sat on Eriksson's contract till the end? |

Honestly I feel like Horvat tied management’s hands on that trade a bit? He very publicly stated in the media he wouldn’t be sticking around unless changes toward winning happened and I think that message got into the heads of people… and Benning went nutso instead of just letting all that bad money expire. I don’t think OEL is terrible, but he isn’t worth his salary… and all the totally movement proof term it comes with. Garland would stick out a lot more on a team with less top forwards, but it’s hard for him to pick up appropriate playing time with this forward group. |
If OEL can regain some form I think it won’t be so bad I was happy when the deal happened especially after all the BS the season before about trying to get him etc. but Jim should have definitely worked out some cap retention. Even if it meant retaining some of Eriksons for a while |

Have to hand it to Bieksa. He's always loved this team |
