^ big group of Australians, and all those woman during the intermission were from NZ? Lol weird

I remember we took friends from aus to a game and they brought like 8 other people from aus with them. It ended up being like an incredible OT win that was 4-3 or somthing high scoring

After I was like holy shit what a game for all you guys to be at! And they were like “ehhh yea it was ok” lol

Actually, they do well against big dawgs, watch them go on like a 4 out of 5 win streak or something on the road ... tease the fan base .. then they come home and will shat the bed against bottom feeders for 0-4.

Yah it was bizarre... and the couple to the right of me wasn't even related in any way to the group of 6 on my left either!

The family on my left was super gung-ho... yelling with Crazy P and talking to us about going to the polar bear swim on new years day... Aussie cop from Sydney and his wife and 4 kids haha, seemed like a really fun family.

The "Friends" video was super cringe amiright?

spoon.ek9 01-04-2023 04:23 PM

The team might be sad but at least my new jersey display is looking pretty decent :concentrate:

Horvat, Petey, Hughes on the left btw

Hondaracer 01-04-2023 04:44 PM

Recession or not, crappy team or not, people were buying those new $300 3rd jerseys by the armful at the team store, was pretty crazy like every second person in like buying one

6thGear. 01-04-2023 04:54 PM

20% for season holders, might as well grab for friends, lol. I've done that with my discount before

AzNightmare 01-04-2023 06:47 PM

Let's be honest, no matter how shitty this team is, people are still going to spend money on them. It's all we got.

i was just down in florida at a couple panthers game, was so tempted to buy their retro jersey. $285 USD for a named/numbered jersey. $210 for a blank one....although i would have gotten 30% off

To their credit hockey games are pretty hard to watch live, especially with near-ice seats.

The game moves so fast with the tiny little puck, I never see or know WTF is going on when I'm at a game. End up getting drunk and shooting the shit instead :lol

Way easier to follow things watching on TV.

Also, my neck hurts after.

anyone have a link to IIHF finals? can't seem to find one that doesn't involve making an account..

MG1 01-05-2023 05:13 PM

Nevermind, Bedard. There are plenty of players on Team Canada that would fit right in with the Canucks.

Two goals against due to lazy clears and turnovers...........

3 on 3 till someone wins. No shootouts.

Lol, Burrard Inlet temporarily named Bedard Inlet.

MG1 01-05-2023 05:30 PM

GOLD!!!!!

National Anthem gonna sound sweet.............

I watched the first period while driving home, using my Shaw account. Screen hidden from view, hee hee............... that's how I watch Blue Jays games.

Too late now, but if you know anybody with a Shaw, Telus, Bell, or Rogers account, just get their user ID and password.

Actually, I don't watch the game. Flip case, lid closed, listen via bluetooth. Great sound. Easy peasy.......... except in between tall buildings.

Canada's 2023 IIHF Tournament goal song...........

Spoiler!

bobbinka 01-05-2023 07:40 PM

3 goals and 2 jugs

whitev70r 01-06-2023 07:59 AM

We got whitecaps and lions. I would say BC lions do better than canucks. At least they won a few grey cups. Lol.

6thGear. 01-06-2023 10:18 AM

But every CFL team has won a Grey Cup. LOL

We'll draft another Swede.. :lol

whitev70r 01-06-2023 01:08 PM

Yah, if you miss Bedard on the draft, this year apparently, the talent is deep.

68style 01-06-2023 02:32 PM

Our 2022 draft pick, Lekkermaki, has had an absolutely brutal last few months and became a 13th forward at the tournament...

And the guy who scored 2 goals and 1 assist in the final, Dylan Guenther, was drafted by Arizona with our 2021 draft pick we gave them when we got OEL and Garland...

Can't make this shit up how badly run this organization is. I feel ill just thinking about it.

Eh you can't really use hindsight with draft picks... Sometimes the lower drafted guys do better, sometimes they don't. You can only go by what you scout and hope for the best.

Both guys might have a reversal again once they're in the NHL, you never really know until they are more developed, and playing against NHL players

6thGear. 01-06-2023 04:04 PM

1st rounder didn't do so great. 3rd rounder Petterson got stronger as the tournament went on.. it's too bad 1 mistake costed his team a Gold round game

Lol true. With that being said Lions will probably win another cup before Canucks get their first cup? This years team looks pretty good.

Even out of all the franchise that have been in the CFL for a long time we have the 2nd fewest cups lol. Only Saskatchewan has fewer wins with 4 but they've been to the final twice as much as we have with 19 appearances to our 10. That said go Lions! So hoping Rourke comes back =/
