Game Time............
A violinist? Okay, she's kind of hot.......... starts with a few turns and glissando's, then goes all out. Baroque, nonetheless. And for the Star Mangled Banner, Adam Wainright, a player does a sleepy, drawn out, Texan cowboy version. Kind of like a Home on the Range................... guitar and all. Just missing the horse. Having said that, he has a good set of pipes. I saw some fans weeping. Commentators - good thing he's not on the pitch clock. It was pretty damn good.

Rubber match today............... yesterday was a bullpen nightmare. Two asses........... bass and basset. Trevor Richards shit the bed, as well. Starters are doing okay, but the bull pen........... nuts.
As for offence, the Jays' hitters are doing well.
I'm glad the Angels got rid of the home run, cowboy hat. New headwear is awesome. Makes total sense. LA has one of the largest Japanese communities in North America. Just look at the ads. Yakult, THK, Konica/Minolta, NEC, Nitto Tire, Bandai/Namico, Yamada/Funai, JAE, etc.

Fucking hell.......... Vladdy gets hit on the foot and goes down. Looked really bad, but dude just sucked it up and went back in. Jays were down 6-0. With Vladdy going to first, bases are loaded with no outs. Chapman comes up and hits the first pitch out of the park. Grand Slam!
It's now 6-4 for the Angels. Afterwards, Varsho bunts up to first base. WOW! Still no outs.
If only the pitchers can get their shit together................
All tied 6-6 thanks to Keirmaier's triple.
Jays are ahead 8-6 now with one out. Pitcher change and Jays take advantage and pull off a double steal. Intentional walk on Kirk. LOL, Buck Martinez just mentioned, "Speed kills"............... Kirk is no Speedy Gonzalez. 2 out and it's 10-6, thanks to the double steal.
W - T - F Angels almost had a walk off win........... 10-10 tie. Extra innings.

Okay, that has got to be the craziest game ever............. Jays win it. 12-11.
Shohei Ohtani, bases loaded with two outs, thanks to Trevor Richards. Gawd, that guy (Richards) sucks monkey balls. Mayza comes in and Shohei grounds out.
Catcher, Kirk had a chance to end the game, but over ran a foul pop up. Man, he must have felt like shit.
Anyway, it worked out.
Usually, you can say, "In Romano We Trust," but not today.

Gotta love Pete Walker. Ejected last night. Trip to the mound. Had his back turned to home plate. Asshole of an umpire sneaks up and listens in on the convo. He did it in a way, it was just wrong. I'm pretty sure Pete did it on purpose, but the way it went down, the ump looked like an absolute idiot.
Probably said something like, "Alec, just settle down. That fucking asshole ump is as blind as a Wuhan Bat. Fuck him, just do your job and don't become unravelled."
As Joe Siddall mentioned. Don't replace umps with robots or AI. The human interaction is priceless.

They need to be allowed to have a certain amount of challenges on balls and strikes because every game there is just some horrible calls. The one on Manoah should have been a strikeout and the guy ended up hitting a 2 run shot in the same at bat.

Tomorrow's game is gonna be wild. In Seattle. The Blue Jays are pumped. So many of us Western Canadians gonna go down and invade the Emerald City. The players talk about it all the time. New players on the Jays team are in for a treat.
The official Mariners Team Store put up a display of Blue Jays merch. A couple of Mariners players went on social media to post their concerns........... for a lack of s.better words. Display was taken down asap, lol. Hey, money is money, man.
Friday game, but it's not, thank god, on AppleTV. Fuck Apple TV coverage. Shitty, shitty, shitty. Buck Martinez and Hazel, ftmfw!!!

Nevermind "The Little Trop of Horrors," Seattle's T-Mobile Park is scarier. Jays were swept in Seattle last year in the regular season and also beat up in the wild card game ousting them out of the playoffs last year. Up until last night's game, Seattle won 10 out 12 meetings.
Almost got swept again. The fans who traveled from all over Western Canada almost went home with nothing to be happy about. Could have easily come up short. They were very fortunate to get out of Dodge with a win.
LA Dodgers tonight.
Watching the other bird team beat their opponent. Player being interviewed by a cute Asian chick. Player gets doused (bukkake) by a water bottle........ a 500 mL WATER BOTTLE. Player's like ooooohhhhhh...... that's cold. He needs a Vladdy cooler bukkake.

Nice. Freddie Freeman story. Loves Canada. Although he's born in the US, both parents are Canadians. He makes sure to represent Canada in the WBC. Mom died of skin cancer when he was 10 years old.

Trevor Richards.............. wow, how shitty can the guy get? I don't get the sportscasters giving such high praise to the bull pen. They're not that good. On paper maybe, but where it counts, they are not reliable.

Should have put Jay Jackson in earlier, instead of Richards. 38 years old, but has the experience. Can't beat experience. Outfox the batters. Arm isn't as good as it used to be, but power is not always the answer.

Richards is usually decent but he's clearly been overused lately because this team doesn't give any run support forcing them to try and preserve a one run lead every game.
If this team could get a clutch hit half as many times as they hit into a double play they'd be a lot less frustrating to watch.

LOL at the Grove incident. Umpire rubbing the pitcher's right thigh. Not just an up and down motion, but multiple strokes. Looking at it from behind, it looked like a hand job. Announcers playing it for all it was worth. It wan't in his pants or an I'm happy to see you......... there was definitely something on his pants. He was ordered to change his pants. He was pretty shitty after coming back wearing new pants.
Dodgers gave the Jays the win. Glaring errors.
A win is a win. I'm looking forward to series with LA Angels. Shohei Ohtani. Big Valley.

Just watched the Jays in 30 and oh man this team is something special. I can't even blame Swanson the game could have been over if Chapman was able to handle that ball, and Espinal I guess forgot he was playing baseball or something.
I don't know how Mitch White still has a job I haven't seen anything good happen after he enters a game.
Edit: Just noticed Ohtani is pitching in Toronto on Friday and it's on Apple TV... Fuck off.

I have Second Gen Apple 4K TV thing. Got it only to watch Blue Jays Friday games. Was wAndering why I spent good money on the thing. Then, along came a free 6 month subscription for Crave TV via Canadian Tire Select membership. I wanted to watch The Last of Us. My TV has Crave app, but because I have Shaw, I have to log in with a subscription through Shaw. Frick. Apple TV to the rescue. It bypasses all that crap. Anyway, long story short, I can watch Crave through Apple TV. I don't have Apple TV+ subscription. Up till now, it didn't matter. I have this feeling they're going to require a subscription. Fuck Apple. They're your friend when things aren't going well. Now that they're successful, they're not even giving the sweat off their balls. Not such a fan boi like I used to be.
If Apple is gong to charge for the games, I's back listening on the radio. Still the purists way of taking in a game without being at the ball park. Good announcers in any sport will bring the game to your imagination. With sounds of audience and cheering, it'll be like you're actually there. I love baseball.
Please, lord, let Buck live forever..................
Sounds like Ohtani isn't pitching in Toronto after all. Tomorrow being a double header for Angels, things had to be juggled.
