Still in the race but man did getting swept by Texas, who they're competing directly against really put a blow to the momentum. They basically have to win every series until the regular season is over.
But at least Seattle is falling back down to earth? Of the 3 teams I don't want taking the 2 wild card spots, it's Texas

Best case scenario is Texas or Seattle shit the bed and make it easy for us. I'm rooting for the Jays but it'll surprise me if they do anything other than be mediocre to finish off the season... This team is just lacking something that takes them to the next level.

Just watching Blue Jays Central. Who's the middle aged woman on the Big Board? Looks like she's some kind of a blogger. She knows her stuff.
Also, never watched yesterday's game. Heard it though. Was busy at the Main Street Car Free Day, and the trunk sale at Bill Copeland. They showed some of the highlights of yesterday's game. Fuck me, the Jays suck at base running. Are they on crack? Flabby has an excuse, but Vladdy and Bichette? Me thinks the baseball gods basically gave up on the game. Both sides were horrible. Which ever team makes the least mistakes win. 4+ hours!
Cannot believe the Jays are in a Wild card spot as of today. Korea vs Canada on the mound. Hyun Jin Ryu and Nick Pivetta of Victoria, BC.

Hyun Jin is such a great pitcher................ uh, if he was, it'd be three up, three down. Not load the bases with no out and getting out of a jam - twice. Pitch count is now up. One mistake and it's 4 runs. Is he doing this on purpose? If so, he's a master of disaster, but avoids the disaster, by design.WAH!

Magical number for the Jays to make it into the post season is 6 wins out of 10 remaining games. 5 games and it becomes dicey. Remaining games are against AL east teams, Yankees and Rays. Little Trop of Horrors................ yikes!
Today's game is the third of 3. Could be a sweep for the Jays, but Gerrit Cole on the mound.
All those games the Jays could have and should have won are going to come back to haunt them.
Vladdy not in the lineup, but available. Schneider wasn't in yesterday's game but should be in today.

I remember how the Jays got into the Wildcard last year ... they then proceed to lose 2 straight and were out. Anti-climactic. Meh. Even if they do make it past the wildcard 1st round ... they're not going anywhere this year.

Three wins and Jays are automatically in................... problem is, only five games left. Game 2 of 3 with New York. Frick. Aaron Judge was not in yesterdays game. He's in today. Yankees are out of the post season and they would love nothing better than to fuck the Blue Jays over. Can't leave nothing to chance. They have to win this one. Yesterday's loss was hard to take. Tied at 0-0 at the top of the 9th. Romano in. 2 runs score. That was it. Dude has been automatic, with an exception of a couple of times. Last two appearances.......... not so good. Feel for the guy. Still he got out of that inning down by two. Hitters did not bail him out.

Take Berrios out of the game now. 4-0 top of 5th.
They should have pulled him when he walked the last hitter. 4 balls no strikes. When Berrios loses the strike zone, you might as well have a high schooler in there.
Just have to hope Cole ends his night early due to high pitch count.

Last year, stolen bases were in the 40's. This year the most stolen bases is in the 70's.
