Cool to see Schneids at the ceremony... He's still got the NHL dumper, those pants and hips on the suit jacket hanging on for dear life.

He took the ceremonial face off, he probably thought he was a skater 😂

What a great night that was! So happy I could be there for Lu. NGL I choked up a few times watching all the tributes and listening to his speech. I sat so close to the glass last night (lower bowl, 2nd row). It was cool to see Kuzy and Joshua's goals in the first period up close. Truly a different experience. I will say however, it's damn near impossible to see what's going on in the other end at that angle lol. I had to look up at the gigantic new jumbotron to see what was happening in the 2nd.

Oh, and I managed to snag one of the free bobbleheads! I was at the gate 5:30 on the dot. There were so many people, I was legit concerned I wouldn't get one. They were also selling them for $25 each afterwards (suckers lol).

Fans care so little for him that they couldn't even be bothered to boo him when he touched the puck. That's how little he meant to this franchise and city. Pretty telling by our lack of response :lol

I'm sure if the Canucks were doing worse and we were extra salty, we'd find some lumps of coal to rain some boos down on OEL lol

Probably haha. We can definitely be a salty fanbase at times. I think it was mostly because his departure came as a pleasant surprise therefore there's no real vitriol towards him.

But man, after Bobrovsky gave up that freebie there was an audible bronx cheer when he touched the puck again. Not sure if that was caught on TV lol. People were shit talking him all night before that even happened. When the third started and Stolarz was in net, people started yelling "we want Bobrovsky!" :rofl:

FYI:

Early start to the first two games of the road trip.

The Vancouver Canucks travel east today for arguably the strangest weekend of games that we will see all season.

On Saturday, at 11:00 am PT, the Canucks will play the Minnesota Wild and then they will follow it up at 12:00 pm PT on Sunday against the Chicago Blackhawks.

has anyone else?? hawks clearly have no confidence in their dmen. granted, 4 of 6 are rookies and murphy just went down with an injury after blocking miller's shot.

I remember the 5 dmen powerplay :lol

Hawks 0-14 when allowing 4+ goals

Canucks 16-0 when leading after 2 periods

I think we're in good territory here heading into the 3rd
