People talk about how great the Canucks goal diff was, but I always subtracted 10 from it because honestly I wouldn't count the 10 goal blowup into it.

the wild blew them out as well a bit ago so you can't really look at that being accurate.

Silovs starting against Vegas tonight. Can't be any worse I guess.

spoon.ek9 04-08-2024 02:09 PM

We need DeSmith to keep his confidence up heading into playoffs. If Silovs gets blown up tonight, it's just a learning experience for him. Hopefully the team shows up and actually plays a good game in front of the kid.

Demko is proving to be a little bit delicate... not too bad but it's not a great feeling at 28 to have seen him now miss significant portions of 3 out of the last 5 seasons. I believe he's had some sort of injury every season and it's only going to get worse as he ages. He will be 30.5 when his current contract ends and be looking for a huge pay-day / retirement contract... I don't know that I'm giving that to him if I'm a GM given his history.

For the first time in as long as I can remember too, the Canucks do not have an up and coming surefire future #1 goaltender prospect either. I thought Silovs might be it, especially after his performance for Latvia, but the way he crumbled after and hasn't really asserted himself in Abbotsford this year isn't very encouraging.

lol just tuned in. down by 1 already. sigh...

AzNightmare 04-08-2024 06:19 PM

sweep?

Hondaracer 04-08-2024 06:22 PM

Ffs just like the stupid game I went to uhgggg

These fucking NHL2005 fucking cross crease tap in’s. Of course when you leave Eichel open it’s gonna be a fucking tap in

spoon.ek9 04-08-2024 06:23 PM

another early 2-0 deficit to dig out of against a playoff team...

AzNightmare 04-08-2024 06:28 PM

Inevitable Edmonton will pass Canucks now. They can actually take care of teams like the Avs.

Realistically, Canucks will only have a chance to win 2 more of their remaining games... Arizona and Calgary.

edit:
wow, 2-2 tied...

pastarocket 04-08-2024 06:43 PM

The power play is on point tonight.

Time to tear the Vegas house down. :gun:

All knotted up Kreygasm

teggy604 04-08-2024 06:47 PM

Why is EP40 facing the 2nd line? Isn't EP40 supposed to be playing against their 1st line?

MG1 04-08-2024 07:10 PM

Mrs. J. T. Miller............... not just another pretty face. She's very well spoken.

Talking about Canucks Place.

SkinnyPupp 04-08-2024 07:15 PM

Should be a diving penalty.. Making the refs look bad

Razor Ramon HG 04-08-2024 07:17 PM

What a fucking dumbass penalty

pastarocket 04-08-2024 07:26 PM

It's been such a long journey for Brock. Super happy for the guy to finally hit 40!

Hondaracer 04-08-2024 07:36 PM

Let’s go fuck finally sustaining some pressure

Podkolzin has been great ever since he’s been up but in the last 5-6 games he’s really been effective, he’s definitely not among the fringe bottom 6 players anymore

spoon.ek9 04-08-2024 07:47 PM

almost lost in all this is that JT hits 100 points for the first time in his career!

SkinnyPupp 04-08-2024 08:37 PM

THEY SLAYED THE DRAGON :alonehappy:

pastarocket 04-08-2024 08:37 PM

Big win tonight! Five points ahead of the Coilers now.

kinda disappointed they didn't put Garland the last 2 mins left with the Vegas net empty. He was the reason the Canucks won tonight.

spoon.ek9 04-08-2024 08:38 PM

that's a pretty big W tonight, well deserved

mb_ 04-08-2024 08:41 PM

Big comeback W, should be a good way to swing the momentum just before the playoffs

Milestone night for Miller, Brockstar and Garland
