They’ve been killing these designs lately

Liquid_o2 11-30-2023 08:56 AM

I am getting Grizzlies vibes from this one. :awwyeah:

Corey Perry Statement:

First paragraph:
I would like to sincerely apologize to the entire Chicago Blackhawks organization, including ownership, management, coaches, trainers, employees, and my teammates. I would also like to apologize to my fans, and my family. I am embarrassed and I have let you all down.

AzNightmare 11-30-2023 12:43 PM

I think it's the 3rd paragraph that's the most important that offered some new news.

substance abuse and struggles with alcohol.

Fun while it lasted... but hopefully the rumors can die now.

That's a good trade. Good job so far from Allvin.

roastpuff 11-30-2023 02:21 PM

OK with the price, but wonder if he'll re-sign here.

punkwax 11-30-2023 03:08 PM

Canucks got Zadorov. Niiice.

bobbinka 11-30-2023 04:05 PM

DAMN, that Horvat trade is really working out well

That trade and the subsequent moves are likely having a bigger impact than Dim Jim’s ENTIRE tenure.

Think about how fucked that is

bobbinka 11-30-2023 05:25 PM

and we have just enough cap space left now to sign Ethan Bear or an equivalent. we'd actually have a full roster of NHL dmen who could play on rotation through injuries.

only concern is that going into next year, every dman except Hughes is UFA or RFA, lol.

MG1 11-30-2023 05:26 PM

Bored out of my gourd, so I turn to Sportsnet. Game between SJ and Boston. MFG! Play by play is hideous. Is this the norm for NHL American coverage?

It's painful. Like a drag queen squeezing your nuts with a pair of red hot blacksmith's tongs...............

winson604 11-30-2023 05:28 PM

Damn it's good getting used to trades where at the onset your reaction is hmm good trade! Once Sauce comes back our entire blue line will be decent, for now anyway. Coming into the season I thought of every arm chair GM move I could make to improve our D and also get rid of cap space without giving up a bunch of assets, I had no answers. Alvin has done all of the above somehow.

sonick 11-30-2023 08:27 PM

Lol canucks play in Calgary on Saturday, does zadorov just move his shit from one room to another?

whitev70r 11-30-2023 08:56 PM

Knowing the NHL, he probably has to fly to Vancouver tomorrow, get all the paperwork done, equipment/jersey, etc. and then fly to Calgary on Saturday.

Hondaracer 11-30-2023 09:16 PM

Vegas has had the Canucks number in the last few years and continues to do so. Vegas is just so relentless with their puck possession, back when Canucks played Vegas in the bubble it became more evident then and since they’ve only gotten better

snowball 11-30-2023 09:34 PM

Canucks are such a run and gun type team now after the post-Sedins possession era, it's been quite an adjustment to get used to. Scares the shit out of me though since the play can go either way in an instant.

It's such fun hockey to watch though

The pretenders have been exposed... :okay:

Just gotta hold on until Petey finds his game again (unless he's injured... ).

But honestly didn't it already happen a while ago. I'm not saying we're frauds or anything just saying that our amazing start is sort of similiar to the run we had with Bourdreau in the sense that we had one of the easiest schedules in the entire NHL to start the season up until just recently and during that stretch we only had a hand full of real challenges. Dallas, Tampa, NY Rangers, Florida, and Toronto. We were 2-3 in those games though yes we played very well against the Rangers and it could have very well been 3-2. Sure our overall team play is so much better and we're beating the teams we should be beating minus a couple few times but hey it's the NHL even the best team will lose against someone they "shouldn't" lose to on any given night. The fact is we got a lot better but we are not there yet to be a true threat. Playoff team yes but likely still a 1st round exit team for now imo. The rest of the season we have something like the 2nd or 3rd hardest schedule in the entire league, strap in boys it might get ugly.

murd0c 12-01-2023 07:58 AM

In a way this is exactly what we want from the Canucks right now, it's about building this team and showing them what is needed to get to be one of the top teams in the league. I'm not worried at all as long as we don't go on extended losing streaks.

Hondaracer 12-01-2023 08:03 AM

They’re not as good as they started off as, they aren’t as bad as the last 4-5 games

whitev70r 12-01-2023 08:47 AM

Run and gun will get you lots of pts in regular season ... Prez trophy contender.

But defence will win playoff games. Just ask the Leafs.

Most definitely, I'm just happy I see some actual progress and an identity being formed. The lone fact so far that we were beating teams that we were supposed to was already a nice treat. Also seeing seeing us not panic and stick to our game plan even being down has been a good treat. Come on boys let's start putting this together!
