^ yes, apparently creaks everywhere, in the shop all the time, and missing Aliexpress wings, spoilers, diffuser, etc.

Badhobz 10-24-2024 07:33 AM

It just falls apart on the build quality. It drives great !!!

GLOW 10-24-2024 07:41 AM

didn't know it was a thing, first thing that came to mind was cross colours

Badhobz 10-24-2024 07:52 AM

DATS RACIST!

EvoFire 10-24-2024 12:48 PM

I thought the Harlequin colours were assymetrical other than the body frame. That one is the same one both sides.

iirc the dealership wrapped it before it was sold for promotion.

it was one of the first Mk8's in town.

prob lease return

there are still a few OG golf harli's in town. Buddy has one on the island too. obviously the originals were painted.

at one point one of the big dealers in the states (Jim Ellis) actually swapped panels between 4 stagnant cars to put them back to being solid colours to sell them. These cars are well documented - and hold pretty good value

bcrdukes 10-24-2024 01:48 PM

Half joking / half serious - Could this car's "theme" get you a VI with the VPD?

trollface 10-24-2024 02:10 PM

Colour would just say Multi on reggie on the real ones if i recall.

If you want an Elise that's not an Elise.

Could've sworn I saw a Holden Maloo for sale a few days ago, can't find the ad now...

Wow, that's such a cool car for 30k. There are Exiges are listed at $120k which makes me want to sell mine if I'm honest.

JDMDreams 11-07-2024 09:31 AM

But do they sell though....... It's a car I've seen listed for years same with certain p beetle cars.

!LittleDragon 11-07-2024 10:00 AM

A car like that, you have to actually be looking for it. Most folks won't know what an Opel/Vauxhall is. Could be why they sit for a long time. I didn't even know one was here until it popped up in my Instagram feed

twitchyzero 11-09-2024 09:31 AM

that's a real british car, down to the condensation in headlight

Dunno where to put this... interesting or good deals thread.... I want to say the price is actually on the low side 997.1 base carrera ?... but i dunno maybe under $40K will be "steal"

bcrdukes 11-10-2024 06:52 AM

Not bad for $40K, but not great either. You have to be ready to (not need) to drop another $40K to rebuild the motor due to potential bore scoring issues that plague the 997.1, especially if it's a Canadian car.

BIC_BAWS 11-10-2024 09:08 AM

How come especially if it's a Canadian car?

The theory is climate is colder in Canada and the engine is prone to bore scoring if not warmed up properly, and owners floor it when the engine is still cold. The other theory is that owners don't change their oil often enough and extend the oil change intervals too long between oil changes. This could be BS for all we know.

Badhobz 11-10-2024 02:20 PM

Lawl. Might as well buy a Maserati / Alfa then

JDMDreams 11-10-2024 04:05 PM

I think it's the same for the V8 beetles. Yea it might actually be cheaper to own a mas cuz they don't have as big insta death gotchas

"Northern" 9X6/9X7 most susceptible; S models also more susceptible than the base

Low key base 987/981 Boxster under 20k is a move

pastarocket 11-14-2024 08:17 PM

Anyone want to buy Batman’s ride?

One of 3 RWB 911 996 Carrera 2 with 226,568 km for 139K. It has 4 HP less than my corolla.

This video caused a lot of controversy. But the install was only temporary.

JDMDreams 11-14-2024 10:32 PM

There's only 3 996 rwbs? I thought there would be way more, and why would you pick a $20000 car with 22x KMS to rwb  :fulloffuck:

underscore 11-15-2024 08:13 AM

Asking $140k for a $20k car with $20k in mods means that hacked on body kit and wrap are doing some very heavy lifting.
