Same deal with the LSD. Most people won't be able to tell the difference on their own.

^ Oh that's nice.....

With how wet Vancouver is, if they daily, they will notice lack of traction every time they try to add some gas to turn or pass

ISF is 450hp on 255 rear… same as bic baws 230hp E46 330ci

Add 2008 Toyota traction control that cut power for seconds with any spin

trollface 01-12-2025 11:55 AM

Why buy an LFA when you can get a Miata for 8k? It can't possibly be 12,000 times the driving experience.

Badhobz 01-12-2025 02:38 PM

It’s not. LFA is ugly

Hahaha !!! Not as ugly as that carrera GT but still friggin ugly.

68style 01-12-2025 02:42 PM

We are fighting when I get to town on Tuesday, see you at KFC

Unfair comparison. An IS-F and an IS500 are very similar. (old sedan platform, naturally aspirated V8, shitty auto transmission.)

Badhobz 01-12-2025 03:21 PM

LFA and Miata both have 4 wheels TROLOLOLOL.

but seriously, there was a reason why the LFA never sold well. Besides the engine noise, if you take that out of the picture what do you have left? a very expensive car UGLY car that isn't very fast, and has a shitty transmission.

Given that its contemporaries like the 458 had gorgeous looks, beautiful handling, intoxicating sound, and the same price tag. no fucking shit they sat unloved for years and years.

it only looks good now, when everything is garbage, we look back and see this as something special.

P.s Supra was like that too if I recall. Same with most Toyota products

noclue 01-12-2025 04:54 PM

How come the LC500 didnt sell well? :)

trollface 01-12-2025 05:04 PM

Customer base is 65 plus or dead

Same problem. Performance isn’t great, look is subjective and the brand doesn’t have the cachet to command 170k after taxes. Take away the v8 noises and you got a pretty yawn car.
Only a real fucking retard would buy one over a 911…… and then wrap it the same color as a 25k Corolla….. and then add gold wheels because fuck you, I go full retard

bcrdukes 01-12-2025 05:56 PM

Being the unofficial translator for Badhobz, what he's trying to say is a 911 will soon be added to his collection. :)

Edit: I mean an overpriced Beetle. :D

donk. 01-12-2025 06:12 PM

You will see hobz on a vespa before a porchē

68style 01-12-2025 08:19 PM

We’ve already seen that

Dbone 01-13-2025 05:09 AM

LFA is ugly and slow?

Those thoughts have never entered my mind. I've seen it going full chat a few times on the track and a change of pants was necessary after.

It does sound like it would be crazy expensive to do any repairs though.

trollface 01-13-2025 06:11 AM

Tribalism

AstulzerRZD 01-13-2025 08:34 AM

Biggest issue in US is really the badge.
If it were a department store, it would be Sears/Macy.

In a world of $400/mo M340i and $599 Lucid
Lexus says you’re conservative/unfashionable … or an OC Kevin Nguyen who’s not social enough to hang in Santa Monica at best.

trollface 01-13-2025 08:35 AM

And the 1999 civic guy says you're all wasting your money because he invested it into bonds and made 20 dollars last year.

Everyone has to justify their actions somehow by punching everything else down.

That's why the Golf R is the best car ever made.

I'd expect it's still a lot cheaper than the 458, and it won't fall apart if you actually use it for anything.

Lots of respect - I’ll always be a Challenger/Charger fan even with the shitty image because I love driving em that much

I do find every choice/whatever is just extra polarized south of the border

They’re triple the cost os a 458 rn - 900k average

458 is more like high 200s

underscore 01-13-2025 10:45 AM

That's the price now. I assume Hobz meant new, and I was talking about maintenance, but you make a good point. The LFA has appreciated a heck of a lot more than the 458 has.

Might have been posted before but a manual swapped 03 Audi RS 6 Avant.
